"For oceanfront dining, Agua is a good bet among the tangle of so-so restaurants lining the city’s beaches. The Mediterranean menu focuses on fresh, simply prepared seafood, and there’s also a quality selection of Spanish rice dishes, steaks, and salads. The terrace sits right at the edge of the sand—and as you might expect, it's a hot ticket in warmer weather, so book ahead accordingly. Rumor has it the service here can be hit or miss, but you might not mind if you keep your eye on the sapphire Mediterranean and your focus on the celestial flavors. Vegetarian options are also available."

This is a really good restaurant on the edge of the water that serves excellent food. The server was very helpful and provided good suggestions to us. It’s a spacious location with a beautiful setup indoors as well as on a patio. The Seafood Paella was the best I have ever tasted. And the Spicy Potatoes were also amazing. We had a great time.

We came to this restaurant and wanted to sit down for drinks and waitress shouted at us that tables are only for food. We looked at all tables for which people were sitting and we could see that everywhere people had only drinks and plates and cutlery were removed from their tables. All people were Spanish so you could see the difference how this restaurant is behaving towards tourists. After we said that we will take food and wanted to sit down for table for 4, she kept shouting at us that we cannot sit down and gave us the smallest table. As proof, l am adding pictures so that everyone can see how they are treating tourists and avoid this place completely!!! No one wants to come for holiday and be yelled at and attacked.

After the Picasso museum on our first full day I was really looking forward to this place next to the sea. After booking some 6 weeks before our trip, it seemed that they weren't expecting us. Three people it took to find my name in the 'computerised' system, and when the head guy finally found us it seemed like a pre-booked table wasn't waiting at the time stated, and he was trying to find a convenient empty table to put us on, which ended up at the back of the terrace! If you book, the table should be reserved and waiting for you, and I would like to think it's in a better spot on the terrace as they know you had a booking to prepare a nice table! That said, the food was enjoyable, and the drink went down well. Based on the other restaurants we visited during our stay, the service was OK, but not special, so overall, we had a nice time, but not memorable.

Beautiful restaurant along the beach with good food and nice terasse. Service a bit slow but waiters are very friendly. I put only 3 stars because they charge 10% if you eat on the terasse. I have never seen such a ridiculous concept anywhere else in the world... (maybe it s common in Barcelona?). The 10% is indicated on the menu. However the minium is to inform the clients before offering them the terasse.

Do not go if you are turist, the staff was horrible to turists, nice to the locals. The waitress was so rude that this is one of the worst experiences in my life. In compltely empty restaurant we were not allowed to sit for drinks, although other tables had only drinks (but they were Spanish). Then we come back for food but again we were not allowed to sit for table that was in the sun since it was for 4 people and only 2 of us (in EMPTY RESTAURANT) and pushed to a corner table in the shadow.

We ordered beers to start with, then asked for olives. This olive were so big and spice, juicy in a oil inffused with saffron and strongly resembling fat meat texture, like a high quality mushrooms. Then we ordered a Sea bass with a hazelnut sauce. We all rated the fish as superb! Personally it was the best sea bass I have ever eaten.

Restaurante Aqua is great! As you walk in you can see the ocean which is really nice. I didn’t have a reservation but the waiting time was quite fast. We ordered a couple of tapas and a main dish. The food was very good! However the main dish never came. Good restaurant, solid food, but they need to pay more attention to the order.

Great food and nice restaurant on the beach. The steak was cooked properly, and the sauce was flavorful. The steak tartar on blue tortilla was also nice. Service was slow, but it was a busy weekend night.
