First visit in Barcelona and was recommended this place. Breathtaking view over the ocean, nice decor, friendly and professional staff and last but not least very good food and drinks. Tried tapas of carpaccio, taco tartar, garlic gambas and fried cod. For desert a Cheesecake and Chocolate Cake. Everything was delicious! We had cocktails with the dinner, signature Agua - with cotton candy, Fruit Ball and popcorn Daiquiri. Looking forward to go here soon again! 👌🏻😋🍹

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Beach Club Experience for a Hen Do! We came here for my friend’s hen do and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. There were 10 of us, and every single one of us had the best time! The atmosphere was electric — amazing DJs, vibrant music, and great vibes all around. The food was next-level. We ordered a variety of dishes and everything was delicious, but I have to give a special shout-out to the steak — cooked to perfection and full of flavour. The drinks were flowing, the presentation was on point, and the staff kept the energy high all night. What made it even more special was the Indian music and dancers that surprised us at our table – such a thoughtful touch for the bride-to-be. We couldn’t stop dancing and smiling! To top it all off, the beach is just a short stroll away, which made it feel like the perfect mix of luxury and seaside escape. Unforgettable night — we’ll be talking about this one for years. Highly recommend for special occasions, hen dos, or just a top-tier night out!

Ordered tapas for 4 people and a round of cocktails for my daughter’s birthday. The staff were lovely and the view was cute, looking out onto the beach. Unfortunately where we were sat, was under a beautiful tree, which led to birds popping on us and the food which put a bit of a dampener on the meal as we stopped eating at that point. Staff gave us a 10% discount. I would just recommend you ask to be sat under the umbrellas if sat outside

This is a really good restaurant on the edge of the water that serves excellent food. The server was very helpful and provided good suggestions to us. It’s a spacious location with a beautiful setup indoors as well as on a patio. The Seafood Paella was the best I have ever tasted. And the Spicy Potatoes were also amazing. We had a great time.

Honestly the food was great but the service was below sub standard! Josephine, the host refused to allow us to move outdoors even when there diners had left and some tables were empty. No explanation...just a rude 'No'. Do understand that its 34 degree in Barcelona and there is no fan in the restaurant which is why we wanted to be seated outdoors. Naturally we only had appetisers and beer. Would have love to stay for mains but the furnace in the restaurant melted us.

The best thing is the location obviously, but be ready to pay extra hidden 10% for eating on a terrace. The food was average, mushroom rice with sausage was too salty (paella type dish, around 25€ with extra charge), water was around 3€, which we didn't know would be charged for. We asked the staff about tap water, they said they bring filtered water, but didn't mention that you have to pay 3€ for it :)) Lastly, we were waiting for dessert for about 20-30 minutes 🤯

My wife and I had an amazing dinner at Restaurant Agua in Barcelona. The setting was perfect—right by the beach, with the sound of the waves in the background and a warm breeze in the air. We shared a seafood paella, and it was incredible—full of flavor, with fresh seafood and perfectly cooked rice. It felt like one of those meals you remember for a long time. The atmosphere was relaxed and romantic, making it the perfect spot for a night out together. The service was a bit pushy, but honestly, we didn’t mind. We were just enjoying the moment, sipping our wine, and taking it all in. If you're looking for a great dinner by the sea, this is the place to go!

The beef was raw in the taco no warning or anything the food was not good. The ambiance is nice but does not match the quality of the food

I would say it might be the best restaurant in Barcelona. Highly recommended. I didn't even know the octopus had these many tastes.

Horrible place, will never go back. Tourist should stay away. Restaurant manager is very combative especially when they overcharge your bill and won't admit mistakes. Corporate bears no responsibility and deflects.

Everything was executed well but food was just good. You're paying for the view and beach. It's nice though and worth a reservation.

The food was just ok. The service was slow. The waiter seemed to be a one man show for the outside deck at the start of our meal which delayed ordering and paying the meal. One person in our group ordered the seafood paella. The waiter told us it is cooked as a meal for two but didn't tell us he would charge twice the amount listed in the menu. It was very expensive but like someone else said your are paying for the view. I will also say bathrooms were very dirty and inside bar was infested with fruit flies. We sat at bar to have a drink before our reservation. For a €€€ restaurant I expected more.

Agua is one of the top 10 restaurants with a beach view in Barcelona. We made reservations same day. However, when we got there they didn't have our reservation in the system. The manager at the bar was super nice though. He said he would figure something out, even though they were all booked for the night. The solution he came up with was have us seated outside, with our own personal waiter. Keep in mind that outside seatings are only for drinks, and not food. We weren't complaining because it was a mild night, and they had heat lamps on. So it worked out perfectly because we were able to dine and see/hear the sound of the ocean. So thank you for the great customer service, Agua. I picked this place over other great restaurants because they had a wide variety of choices on their menu - not just seafood. I think they are also vegan friendly.

Restaurant did not have record of our reservation that the our hotel made the night before. Food was average this night. Service was not good. Ambiance was great because it was on the beach.

Best meal in Barcelona! Hands down. Location was great, very relaxing. Service was a little spotty but given how busy they were, it was understandable. The food - 5 stars!!!! Everything was done right. Quality was very high, flavors spot on. I wish the serving was a little more but with everything tasting great, I was happy. We were in Barcelona for 7 days. Tried Mom and Pop shops, neighborhood restos and I was originally worried about eating in a high tourist place such as Barceloneta and Agua. But I was mistaken. Best meal ever. I wished we were able to go back for another meal but unfortunately, we flew out the next day.

Beautiful beach views! We were able to get a table for 2 outside. We got mussels to start, very fresh! I got a chicken dish with potatoes. My boyfriend got a steak. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our server was attentive and very nice. The nightlife around this area seemed like it was very young- early 20's ish. Anyways, agua in Barca is a 5/5!

I really enjoyed everything about this restaurant. It is literally on the beach, so the ocean view is already a winning aspect. And I may be wrong, but I'm almost 99% sure they don't charge you for the view like some of the other restaurants alongside it do. I've been here for breakfast and lunch now and both times my food was on point. Churros and chocolate and a wonderful assortment of fruit for breakfast, and tapas: mussels, for lunch. The service here is very quick and the restaurant is usually not too crowded whenever I have been. I definitely recommend eating here!

Located right on the beach. Great customer service and the food was excellent . I had the steak and it was cooked just right. I will definitely be coming back. They even have Patron margaritas definitely a plus for an American girl like me fries was super good and the warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was a delicious treat for after .

Each time I ask a concierge in Barcelona for a restaurant recommendation, this place on the waterfront almost always comes up. It's contemporary and spacious with outdoor seating right on the beach. The view are nice and it's close to several clubs and good bars. Basically, it's part of Barcelona's urban nightlife scene. I say this only as context because depending on what you're looking for, Agua may not be he best choice. Personally, I prefer the smaller, local establishments buried in some ally in the gothic quarter to the city's more contemporary options. But to each their own. As a restaurant, the food is good and the service attentive. But nothing that suggests to me it's worth a special visit or recommendation. To me, Agua is a good choice if you have a large group, want outdoor or waterfront dining and don't want to be seated on the street or are claustrophobic. Beyond that, I would personally rather explore some of the cities more rustic flavor.

Excellent!!!! The octopus was fantastic, the beach was stunning and the wine sublime ;) This place is in a touristy area of Barca, Port Olimpic and I was hesitant to go for that reason. I am glad we did. There were 4 of us, my wife, 2 teenage daughters and me. We were sat promptly outside on the beach under the trees and stars. The food was done perfectly (Lamb, Steak, Octopus and fish). A bit on the more pricey side for Barca @ $160 which included 2 apps, 4 entres, 2 deserts and a bottle of wine (pricey for Barcelona NOT THE USA) but well worth it.

What a location! This restaurant is right at the beach. You can dine outside or inside. Both are beautiful. I was part of a group of 16. Service was good. Nice wine selection too. I had the grilled (clay pot) rice with shrimp, fish and green peppers. It was pretty good. The best thing ordered was the grilled octopus.

Went to this restaurant to celebrate the last night of a great trip through Spain with my boyfriend. I ordered the octopus which we both ate and I ended up getting horrible food poisoning on our last night and going to the ER. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

The location of this place is what really sets it apart from other restaurants. The waterfront view and comfortable table spacing of the main dining room is really nice. Besides that there's nothing overly amazing about the food they serve. I recommend eating here for lunch when the weather is nice vs. dinner.

Nice restaurant with good dining ambience, but it is kind of expensive. The Paella is a bit too salty, not really our favorite.

This restaurant has very good food, friendly service and a great view of the beach and Mediterranean. Reservations are recommended. Prices are a bit on the high side. But you will have a good experience.

Agua is awesome! While in Barcelona, you have a lot of options for Restaurants! Don't miss out on this one! This place is an authentic Catalonian Restaurant! The Tapas are bomb, main courses are great! A must try are the black muscles! Also ask what the local fish of the day is...so many options! You can't go wrong on any of them! Also, I was so surprised how inexpensive the bottle of wines are! Very reasonable if you are a baller on a budget (like myself). The service is spot on too. Besides the food and service, the location is just as great! Right on the beach and right next to all the nightclubs! I recommend making reservations at night, have a nice dinner then hang around and hit up one of the nightclubs next door like Opium! Untz Untz Untz! Just a note: the nightclubs don't start until after 11:30pm, but you can go in earlier for cocktails and lounge around! Enjoy!

Another fantastic choice for us. We went for a leisurely lunch while in Spain for a conference. The location on the waterfront was a gorgeous setting and the food was equally perfect. We all ordered tapas- each better than the last. Then I got one of the best salads I've had inSpain. It was fresh, light and perfect to round out the meal.

Had dinner here tonight with co-workers. English menu provided. Restaurant is gorgeous! Service was prompt and efficient. We had Iberia ham, toasts with tomato jam, fried artichokes, amazing cheese risotto (yum!) for small plates. Then dinner was monkfish and salmon. We shared a bottle of red wine, total bill ~140 euros for three. This restaurant is located in a great area on the beach and near nightclubs. Taxis frequent this area, so easy to find a ride back to hotel. Definitely recommend.

Wife and I went here on Honeymoon. Best croquettes ever!!! Incredible location on beach, great atmosphere, superiour service! It was so good we went back the next night!!!! The bartender remembered us and got us a good table even though they were completely booked. Also, the seafood paella is incredible. Specialty of the house. You get an entire half lobster served straight up in the PAN over the rice goodness. GO HERE WHEN IN BARCELONA!

Very good and affordable restaurant on the Barceloneta beach. We enjoyed some tapas and a main dish for a Saturday lunch in the sun, and it has been a very pleasant time. While the service has been generally fast, it took them quite some time to bring us the bill though. Food quality was good and prices affordable, and there was also free Wi-Fi.

Very good restaurant on la Barceloneta, but reservations are a must! We were accomodated in the bar area and that was great, we had access to the regular menu and the food was fantastic. Decor is peaceful and modern, very nice. The service was absolutely outstanding.

Don't bother to come here during lunch....'cuz it's their lunch too. Lack of professionalism for restaurant servers, all of them. They're ok with letting you ask for and take the bill to your table. And when they have to bring food to your table, the delivery was well, just a delivery. Other restaurants easily surpass this for friendly service. Go elsewhere.

What could be a great place to dine is pulled down by a staff that really seems to not care. The location is great. The food was very good. The prices are fairly expensive but, the entire staff was just so damn slow they ruined the meal. You had to either stand and wave your arms or just be ignored the whole time. They had a attitude about themselves that it was just way too much to expect anything in a timely matter. Every table seemed to have the same issue. For the prices we were charged they would never remain open in a lesser spot that waterside. The person I perceived to be the manager or even the owner spent the evening sitting on a bar stool playing on his cell phone. He seldom looked up and never did anything to correct the issues.

Absolutely terrible service! Every waiter/waitress has been ignoring not only our table but many others. Not a single employee nor waitress had a smile on their face. Don't waste your $ the restaurant next door is very fun & live!

This place honestly is horrible! The customer service is awful; They got my order wrong FOUR times! I ended up leaving and going somewhere else because they have the worst service I've ever experienced. Do NOT go here if you want good service and the right order. The manager maylix is absolutely horrible. Do not go here!!!!!!!!

Loud and food was ok. Charged hefty credit card fee for USD even though asked to pay in Euros.

I was prepared for this place to be in a great beach location, but not the greatest food. Often this is the case with tourist restaurants on the beach. I was very wrong. The food was as good as the location. The beef carpaccio was excellent, very fresh mussels and clams with an excellent sauce. Everything down to the desserts and espresso was very good. Prices slightly higher than restaurants in town, but well worth it!

The food was very good and you can't beat the location, right on the beach with outdoor seating available on the patio. Also very close to many of the clubs in the area. A lot of seafood options, good wine selections. Slightly older crowd as the prices are a little higher than other options.

Great location and large outdoor seating area. We went here between lunch and dinner so only had the abbreviated tapas menu to choose from. First off, it's pricy here for what you get (13 euros for 4 shrimp?). I think the quality is good but not worth the price. That said, the drinks here are fantastic - we had a piña colada and a mojito that may have been the best of our visit. Their regular menu may offer better value but the short tapas fare is not worth it. Come here for a drink and eat elsewhere.

Not worth it. There are much better restaurants in Barcelona for this price. I had the duck, which was greasy, and the cake, which was bland. The service was fine and they can accommodate English speakers, however this place is a tourist trap. Avoid it.

We rolled in a little hot after walking over two miles with five kids (it's not really set up for kids but they dealt well). Patio was perfect place for cooling off, giving kids a place to run down to beach/ocean and incredible people watching. Service was definitely adequate and food was traditional spanish albeit in larger portions than we've experienced. Gazpacho incredible but a meal by itself, patatas buhran (think sliced potatoes covered in good nacho cheese) were incredible. Salmon tartar, fideua and fried eggs with papas y jamon (only in Spain)...all excellent. For location prices reasonable.

I didn't love my fried cod (greasy), but my daughter ordered the tuna carpaccio and it was delicious. I would come back for that dish. Great spot on the beach. Although your view, even in the evening is of beach goers, not so much the sea.

Food, service, drinks, price - everything was mediocre. I had the rice with artichoke, prawns, and cuttlefish. Severely over salted, with a Rice-a-roni vibe going, but not inedible. The location was nice, but I wouldn't return.
