Grand Café 'Gouverneur De Rouville'

Absolutely loved my dinner here! Fantastic tenderloin and even better shrimp fettuccine! Loved the Caesar Salad as well. Beautiful view of the harbour and dutch buildings. Dined at 6PM so no wait for table.

We have been here twice so far on our vacation and have loved it! It’s in such a unique and beautiful building. The cocktails are fantastic (try the pornstar martini trust me) and the food is wonderful as well. You do need reservations if you want to sit outside or in the garden, but we were able to walk in twice and sit at a cute little table by the window in the bar. Which actually worked out perfectly last night when it started to rain and everyone moved inside. The food that we received was also fantastic, but I would love to see more variety with the side items (everything comes with roasted potatoes & green beans with a side of French fries). Overall though a fantastic experience and location, we might come back for a third visit before our trip is over.

Cafe Gouverneur de Rouville is truly one of Curaçao’s gems! Every visit here is a wonderful dining experience — the perfect blend of atmosphere, flavor, and island charm. Whether you choose to sit in the open-air patio or on the front upper porch, you’re treated to a stunning view of the iconic Emma Bridge and the colorful buildings of Punda. It’s a view that never gets old. The menu is full of delicious options, and the food never disappoints. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely bursting with flavor. From appetizers to main courses, everything feels exquisite — and yes, always save room for dessert! The sweet treats here are the perfect finish to an already marvelous meal. What makes Gouverneur stand out even more is how consistently excellent it is. It has become one of my personal favorites every time I visit Curaçao. Warm, welcoming, and unforgettable — highly recommended! 🌅🍽️💛

We were with a large group (about 30 people), and the service was impressive—almost all meals arrived at the same time. The tuna tartare was nice, though not the best I’ve had. I ordered a medium-rare steak but got more of a medium to medium-well, while others at my table did get medium-rare. With so many orders, I get that it might be tricky to get them all perfect. The desserts were way too much for me! I really liked the aesthetic and would love to return with a smaller group sometime.

We had a wonderful lunch with a beautiful view across the bay to Handelskade. My crispy Shrimp Poke Bowl was Dushi, and my wife enjoyed her Crispy Fish Sandwich. We left with smiles on our faces and a full tummy!

On two different days, our party of four adults ate at this restaurant. The first time was midday for lunch, and the second time was for dinner just before 7P. We had reservations for lunch, but not for dinner. Both visits were great experiences and the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The food and atmosphere were very good and the view of waterway and Punda from the balcony was excellent. We will definitely return. They also had the best mojitos we have ever had.

Saw that this place had a ton of good reviews, so we tried it out. The menu is VERY small. Also pretty expensive. I was baffled by how many people were there to eat with the options being so few. Fettuccine was good. Service was good too!

This was obviously the place to be in Willemstad. It was packed the whole evening. We did not have reservations and luckily got a seat. Though we do suggest making reservations. It is huge place and absolutely lovely. We had dinner and tried to visit for coffee but there was a private event. Parking can be a challenge but we did find street parking nearby. The restaurant is on the second level with gorgeous views or in an open courtyard or patio. There is indoor seating but even in the evening it was too warm. The menu isn’t huge but offer good variety. Prices are fair for the experience. We found service slow but that was typical of the island.
