We arrived in Tahiti by sailboat in early October 2024 and were lucky to have a local friend show us around the island. We stopped at this lovely Gauguin-themed restaurant for lunch - it was quiet, peaceful, and the food was delicious.
The large windows on two sides opened up to views of the water - calm and light-filled. The spacious dining hall was almost empty during the day, which added to the serene atmosphere. The hibiscus flowers on the tablecloths looked like reflections of the lush Tahitian gardens outside - colorful, abundant, and full of life.
The hostess was smiling, kind, and warmly welcoming.
We carried a little piece of Tahitian warmth and sunshine with us when we left.
