It was an average vegetarian Dinner, but the service was very good. The restaurant is not very clean but if you want this cuisine then it is ok. We ate vegetarian (3/5) and my father ate meat (this looked better 4/5). So I would recommend to eat meat there :) Thank you once again for the good service:)

Google
Very average place to eat and definitely super overrated. The portions are huge and worth the price (it's a less pricey restaurant compared to others in the same street) and the food is O.K. You do have to be familiar with the Middle East cuisine though, as the staff members have zero knowledge of what the dishes present on the menu consist of and look like. The service was rather quick compared to how busy the restaurant was (we had to make a reservation a week in advance to get a spot on a Saturday), but very impolite. The restaurant was extremely busy and noisy itself, and it was even difficult to speak with anyone over such noise. On a positive note, the interior is certainly exceptional and eye-catching.

Google
We ordered the special dish for two, the Bizar Bazar Meat. It’s a large portion, but for a specialty dish, it was disappointing. There was a lot of rice and potatoes, but very little meat, and the meat itself was mediocre. The lamb was dry.

We went for a group gathering. I liked calamari. It was less oil which taste good. Royal Persian lamb taste like dhaal mutton with rice. Rice smells good ☺️. The number of lamb pieces was less probably match to low price. Best to share portion with 2 pax.

Google
The restaurant space was very large and the table arrangement was very neat and comfortable. The restaurant was on three floors with a very attractive and old decor. The number of staff for service was good. The food quality was good and the menu variety was very wide. The restrooms were clean and tidy. I will go back to try again and recommend the restaurant.

Google
The food was nice but the meat was not really tender. The shrimp salad was nice and the rice also good Mashroom sauce also good.

Google
Mediocre at best. Probably the worst falafel I’ve had in my life. The couscous sauce, straight from an instant champignon sachet. You’d be better off eating at any kebab snack bar. Certainly in terms of fresh produce. But the decor is funky.

Google
We discovered this place thanks to a friend. First of all, don’t expect to find a table without a reservation - this place is so popular in Rotterdam! The menu is huge, and you can really find a lot of options for every taste. We tried more than one dish by sharing, and generally speaking the food is not spicy, and the flavors are pretty simple. But the food is just amazing for how much you pay at the end!

Yelp
What a cool place, great vibe and loved our waitress! ! We ate outside although inside was so big and interesting looking. The var was beautiful. We both had the skewered chicken, pork on a huge bed of couscous with roasted veggies. There was a beautiful side saffron sauce to drizzle on too. Was fresh and authentic.

Yelp
The food is a Frankenstein mix of Turkish, Persian, Levantine, and even Indian food in the worst possible way. The service is clumsy, unprofessional, and waiters seem to be high and absent minded.

Yelp
Tasty middeleastern food; all types of grilled meats, dips, salads and soups. It also has the right ambiance for the food experience, you'd feel like you're in Turkey while you're inside. Staff and friendly and quick although they're managing a very busy restaurant.

Yelp
My airbnb host told me that I couldn't leave Rotterdam without coming to Restaurant Bazar to have this "True Rotterdam" experience. Fresh of the train, I started walking and just happened to sit down at this restaurant for lunch. I would LOVE to come back for dinner after this great lunch experience. Restaurant Bazar (attached to a Hotel under the same name), was truly a great experience. The menu is comprised of Middle Eastern and North African cuisine. While I sat outside for lunch, I peeked in the building to admire the lighting (which truly should be viewed at night when it seems like an oasis in the street). I ordered the Dürüm (grilled minced beef and lamb kebab with piyaz, rolled in lawash and a yoghurt sauce with moesir). The menu was super competitively priced and was truly delicious. I went for lunch when it was less busy, but with the beautiful lighting at night, I would recommend coming here for dinner. Regardless, this was definitely a great stop on my trip to Rotterdam. Definitely make sure to put this on your list.

Yelp
Multi-level dining restaurant with a lively atmosphere. Nice portion entrees at a good price. Consistently tasty and the service is friendly.

Yelp
When I heard that there were reservations up until 9:30pm on a Monday night I was skeptical - a place like this couldn't be THAT good. But guess what, Bazar is as great as they say it is! We ordered a falafel salad, the spareribs, and prawn skewers dish. This was actually a lot since the portions were huge and when I looked at other tables I noticed that many got one dish to split and a side. But somehow we finished it all because all dishes were excellent! Loved the falafel as they were crunchy and the yogurt sauce that came with it was yummy. The spareribs were my favorite as they were tender and had a good marinade/BBQ sauce. The prawn skewer came with rice, salsa, and grilled veggies and it was pretty solid. And the total bill was only 38EU for all of this. Amazing! Service was great as they were very nice, helped explain the menu, and got the food out pretty fast. A small thing is that they forgot to get an extra BBQ sauce that went with the ribs but it was pretty busy so I get it. It was just such a good sauce hehe. There is seating inside (that were all booked for reservations when I went) and outside seating that's more for walk ins. The seating outside is charming though there's a lot a smoking out there. Overall, a solid 5 stars for this restaurant for the food, price, portions, ambiance, and operating hours (they open till 1am!). Locals love Bazar. Tourists love Bazar. And so do I. I'll be back!

Yelp
Started off with the chicken wing appetizer, calamari, hummus and bread. All about average. The chicken wings were served with ketchup. Not a fan. The salsa came with the calamari actually taste better on the wings. The calamari was fried to perfection and tasted great. The hummus was especially creamy. The bread was a little too thick for my liking. I would've preferred homemade pita bread. Overall the quality of the appetizers were really good. The lamb stew as an entrée was really good. The rice cooked with the almonds and spices was absolutely perfect

Yelp
Original decoration and full of ambiance. The food is ful of flavours and delicious. Not the best cuisine I have ever ate but for the price you pay you cannot complain. Service is fast and after we ordered our plates came before we could think about it. I have been here several years ago and I remember the fish dish for two persons was delicious. This time I ordered the vegetarian koekoe dish and it was good, although some (pita)bread to accompany the dish would have been welcomed. Try to keep some space for desert, the date-walnut cheesecake is worth it!

Fraya S.

Yelp
It was not that good. at least from this one experience.. We ordered ribs, some chicken wings, and shrimp skewer. I would definitely recommend the ribs, good and tender. It is served with potato wedges and a pita bread. Chicken wings were very salty though, and the shrimp was blah. Yes, the place was packed, so many people were here for drinks and dinner. The ambiance was ok if you like crowded place, but if you are looking for quiet, go find another place. It definitely felt very "mediterranean" with all the decorations. Mint tea was good, English menu was definitely a big help, and the staff who attended us was nice as well.

Yelp
I arrived in Rotterdam at 9AM and needed to find a place for breakfast. My friends were staying close to the Witte de Withstraat, so we decided to look there. On our way we got a recommendation to try Weerld-eethuis Bazar, a North African/Middle Eastern restaurant. Between the three of us, we split the Extra Bazar for 2 people (and still had food leftover). It includes: pide, açma and simit, marinated feta cheese, seasoned cream cheese, kaymak (clotted cream), apricot jam, honey, thousand holes pancake, fresh fruit yoghurt, boiled egg, young matured cheese, sucuk, fresh orange juice and coffee or tea. I wasn't sure what everything was but I was excited to try! The thousand holes pancake (bahgrir) was so delicious I tried making it at home a few days later.

Yelp
Awesome, AWESOME restaurant in Rotterdam. We were told this place could possibly be the best restaurant in Rotterdam as well (it definitely was for us anyways!). Great food, very fair prices and amazing atmosphere. Being from the middle east I thought this place would just be another poor rip off for tourists but I was really surprised at how perfectly cooked every dish was (try the meat platter!). The kebabs were so amazingly tender and flavourful, I almost felt like I was back home. Service is a bit slow (but just like everywhere else in Holland) but they're very friendly and there's a great crowd in here. The space is also amazingly decorated and it's a great place to meet travellers as well as locals! Now if they only served hookah for some after-meal goodness...

Yelp
Make a reservation!! I highly suggest you make reservation as the "Turkish Delight" is a wonderful restaurant with great atmosphere! Make sure to get there fairly early as the famous baklava goes quick! The portions are great so if you like to share go for it. Make sure to ask for Negina. She is a wonderful waitress!!

Gianguido G.

Yelp
HOT... nice... sweet.... trendy... :) Yes.. it is in Rotterdam... and is the BEST Mediterranean fusion restaurant I have ever been. Start from the service... EVERYONE looks great... happy.. and provide a great experience. Food... well.. Mediterranean ... fusion.... because is not Moroccan 100%, it is not Italian 100%, it is not Turkish 100% ... it is just a GREAT mix :) It gets really crowded, you might want to call for a reservation.. arrive a bit earlier and enjoy the sound and the beat of the place at the bar before sitting. You can get a great table outside ...but also inside is very hipster... :) There is an hotel attached, with the same name. Never stayed but I heard is great also.... and well... in the Witte de With straat where the new and trends are in Rotterdam!!

Yelp
I've been a couple times to Bazaar Amsterdam and just visited the Rotterdam location for the first time. Nice and centrally located on Witte de Withstraat, which is a very popular restaurant and bar street. I came here with a friend for brunch because not only do they have all day breakfast, they have a special breakfast for two that is amazing. Pretty cheap at €17,90 it includes coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice, yogurt with fruit, a sweet pancake, boiled eggs, and a basket of bread with a variety of toppings (cheese, meat, jam, spreads). I can't say enough how delicious it was, and what a great deal this is!!!!!!!!!!!! Might be my new favorite brunch spot in Rotterdam.

Rick S.

Yelp
Bottom Line - This place is pretty tasty and I'd definitely come back. This would be my first choice for Mediterranean food when in Rotterdam (even if in Seattle). I came for dinner with a group of friends, but we paid separately. Everyone generally liked their dishes. The others at my table have been to this restaurant several times, and the plate of the day seems to be popular amongst them. El Couscous/meat (€12.90, with tutti frutti, roasted vegetables, grilled tomatoes and a saffron sauce with a mixed grilled kebab of chicken, lamb, spicy chicken sausage and turkey) - I enjoyed this dish, though the couscous was a bit dry. The plate came with a soup, but I found that it was better to pour the soup on top of the couscous. Next time I'd order something with rice. Along with my sparkling water (€2.00), the total for me was €14.90.

Yelp
Use to eat here all the time when I lived in the area. Food was always yummy. My favorite was the falafel plate. Best falafel in town. It does get very busy during peak hours so plan ahead.

Yelp
While visiting Rotterdam we heard we must visit this restaurant. We walked from the traffic circle and found that we needed reservations on a Monday night! It was packed!! Our hostess was pleasant and said she could seat us in about 15 minutes. Our waitress Negina was super friendly and helpful in ordering as the menu was in Dutch. We got an appetizer and one of the meat kebabs for three people. It was a LOT of food! Very tasty!

Yelp
Visited my people's in Rotterdam from United States the Food was so darn good great job great atmosphere will be coming back

Yelp
Often when I visit rotterdam, I also visit bazar. Why? Because I've been going here for about 15 years and it never fails to deliver. Yummie, reasonably healthy and big portions. Happy interior. And friendly staff. Do make a reservation... This place gets packed every time!

Yelp
Very similar in design to its sister restaurant in Amsterdam, and identical (if memory serves) in menu. Big, loose, relaxed, and fun, this place sparkles literally and in spirit. It's the kind of restaurant that's equally comfortable for a date, a family dinner, or a big group. Speaking of which: We were sandwiched upstairs between a multigenerational Muslim family and what appeared to be an entire football team. Both seemed happy, and we were too. We didn't have a reservation and were told at the door that they'd need the table back in 2 hours. That was fine with us, although maybe not the most hospitable greeting. Still, you've been warned: Make a reservation, at least for dinner. Come hungry. You'll want to order everything on the menu, and portions are large. You'll definitely want to share. The combos (meat, fish, or vegetarian) make ordering easy, especially for a large group. The lamb stew is unusually spiced and totally delicious. There are lots of vegetarian options; the mosamma (veggie casserole) was fantastic, but the more usual suspects (hummus, sigara, falafel, and pide, the fluffy Turkish bread) will leave even the carnivores content.

Yelp
Taste Service Price €€€€ the most horrible experiment in Holland! The food is really bad and too expensive. Do not try this Place... belive me

Lacey C.

Yelp
Middle-Easterny, North-Africany food in Europe that ISN'T the ubiquitous Doner kabab? WHAAAAAAAAAT? Um, yes. And it was only a little Dutchified, but completely good. I would shy away from the platters though, and order a la carte. Our food was tasty, but I kept eyeing the plates of customers around us and... well, getting jealous. Whatever you do--DO NOT skip the breakfast here! The 1000-hole Turkish pancake really shines, as do the traditional Halal sausages. Mmm, spicy. One of the best hotels in Rotterdam--you will pay an arm and a leg anyway. Might as well be in a pretty room!

Richard D.

Yelp
Our favorite eating place. Make sure you make a reservation before you go on weekends! Good food, friendly and fast service. Breakfast can be eaten all day ;-)

Mark D.

Yelp
During a walk we did through Rotterdam we just passed by this restaurant (which was also recommended in the walking brochure). Things looked fine on the plates on the terrace. There was a short line at the door. When it was our turn we were put on the list with an estimated 15 minute wait. We took a drink at the bar and after the wait, which was 15 minutes we got seated. We took the BizarBazar (mixed grill for 2) and Couscous with meat and loved everything. Less tasty are the fried potatoes which had not really a potato-taste. The only letdown was the red housewine. It is really bland, lacking taste. When paying I also stated this and the guy at the bar said he heard this a lot. Time to do something about it? Service was pleasant, fast and in good humour. The place is packed (on three floors plus a terrace) and quite loud. It feels genuinely mediterranean with a lot of staff.

Louie L.

Yelp
Have been here several times and always satisfied with the quality of exotic food! Nice interior and exterior decoration with colourful light, which is especially beautiful at night! Even sipping a beer outside on the terrace is nice!

K S.

Yelp
This place is bomb! Great food, interesting decor, plenty of seating inside and out on the terrace. There's always a spot during lunch, but come dinner time, without reservation, you'll have to wait a while to get a seat. Even reserving day of won't be early enough to guarantee you a spot--this place is packed! And for good reason...usually I get the lamb shank or the two-person meal. Ribs are also done really well. Delicious, and leaves me satisfied! Desserts are also great, ranging from a simple yoghurt to a decadent baklava. Staff are great, always glad to help out. They've also got menus in several languages for those who don't understand Dutch.

Guanxin L.

Yelp
Really friendly service during our dinner time! Nice people and great food! Just hope the paper not too spicy next time LOL!!!

Kim W.

Yelp
I had drinks and some appetizers the other week ...irfans appetizer is nice ...the other one is basically a sort of bittergarnituur...the place does much better salads and maincourses. The prosecco and wine were pretty OK ...but I still like there real mint tea (hot water with mint is called mintwater there ;) the best...it just is a nice place to enjoy life

Jonathan W.

Yelp
Great ambiance but the food is bad. Ordered and 3 min later the pre prepared food came out. Maybe it was the dishes we chose ( all vegetarian.) they must be doing something right cause it's packed.

Qype User (lauraa…)

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere! Incredible food! We had a dinner meal here and it was increidble the decor and warm staff give this place a special feel and the fabulous food adds to the authentic experience! I can highly recommend this place and will definately go there when I'm back in Rotterdam!

Qype User (margar…)

Yelp
This used to be the place I would spend my time in when I forgot my keyes (happened more often than not.. and I lived across the street, so very handy) wanted time out from the appartment and or just had a hankering for propper kick-in-the-head coffee. They also do the best baklava in town. And ofcourse the best part, I could take my dog with me. How can you not love a place that looks like a grown up version of aladins cave?

Paul P.

Yelp
This is a good restaurant to eat at while visiting Rotterdam. It consists of many meditarrean and middle eastern dishes which suits the taste of many foreigners and locals which make the restaurant perfect to dine at. My only concern was it wasn't too peaceful inside at all. Very loud music + constant people talking but don't let that get to you while you're enjoying your meal. If you find this place, go for it; maybe sit outside and enjoy the breeze of fresh air during your meal.

Abdullah A.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, good food, waiters and waitresses are friendly, I would suggest this restaurant specially for dinner...

Qype User (tom90…)

Yelp
Nice and trendy arabic, or morocco, restaurant in authentic atmosphere, nice for lunch, dinner or just some drnks. You can choose between arabic national food for average prices. Come back for sure!

Yelp
Visiting Rotterdam for first time and ate here four times in four days. Great vibe. Amazing food, very cool service and decor. The Turkish yogurt (served with the "healthy breakfast") amazing. Lentil soup a meal in itself.
