Restaurant Bootshaus

Our family had some car issue. While waiting for the replacement car, we wandered into the restaurant after some distance of walking. The manager Felix was so kind and friendly to accept our special food request. He was helpful, caring, and comforted us after knowing we were impacted by the car issue. The food and the service were wonderful and outstanding. As a tourist and with this experience, we hold high regard for Austrian. Felix constantly checked with us, ensuring attention was not lapsed. The service from all other restaurant staff was equally good and all are well mannered. Hope we will have a chance to visit here again.

The best food I have had in Upper Austria. It was a 5 star experience from the beginning until the end without a single point that could be criticised. The service was extremely attentive, the view was amazing, the food was spectacular end to end, and the personal preferences with intolerances were perfectly accommodated for.

We took the 4 courses menu where you can just pick between two choices of main dish. The food was outstanding, very well presented and with interesting combination of ingredients. I like the atmosphere in the restaurant that together with the staff gave it a special touch to the dinner. Only point where they should improve is the communication within the team. I said I was intolerant to gluten and lactose and as welcome aperitif we get bread and butter... after asking for glutenfree bread I got some which was nice, but for me this was a looked over detail. Same happened with the dessert... but then they changed it.

Very varied menu. We picked the 6-course menu and it was super good! Staff is really nice and very attentive

Had the 7 course most creative menu with an impeccable attentive service. I highly recommend this restaurant without any reservation, even you have to make your reservation well in time before. All together absolutely worth every minute of it - it comes with a very high price. Only problem is the very limited parking space

Lukas seems to be a friendly and highly skilled chef. The reception staff however at Bootshaus can be characterized only as condescending and snooty at best. The following happened: A reservation for a pary of four was made by telephone with a lead time of three days. A credit card guarantee was not required at that time. When the guests arrived punctually the reservation was confirmed, but since there was no credit card guarantee, a hectic discussion started among the staff and the party was asked to wait. To make an issue out of a missing credit card guarantee in case of no show after the arrival of the guests is ridiculous. No thanks!

A magnificent experience in all aspects. The food was exquisite, the wine pairing carefully adapted, the service was supremely professional, the location is postcard picturesque. If you have the time (and I really recommend you find it), there are few occasions you'll find a culinary experience of equal stature.

We came from Greece to Traunkirchen and we had a stop in this place. Everything was nice.
