Restaurant Burg Landshut

The view here is more than amazing – it’s like nothing else. You’re surrounded by incredible nature, with forests all around. The road up to the restaurant is beautiful, winding right through the trees. The food was delicious, and the staff were super nice and welcoming. Sitting there with that view while enjoying a great meal was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Bernkastel-Kues.

It's all about the views in this hill-top restaurant, cleverly inserted into the side of an old castle ruin. Decent food, modern interior, friendly staff. It's a bit tricky to get to but worth it if you can.

Ordered schnitzel and apple strudel. Dessert came first and young waiter said yes this was first which made me look up if this was customary 🤣 it isnt. Schnitzel was average. Lady waitress apologised when I asked and i checked if my main was ordered. Large plate , unfortunately schnitzel was over cooked, tasted slightly burnt. Everything is a bit too salty for me, preference wise Kinda has a canteen cafe vibe here. Great views but bit disappointed in my last dinner here . I’d come back and maybe have drinks here

Such a nice place the eat! How can you beat that view 👀👀 the food was delicious. I got smoked salmon with a potato pancake and the steak and potatoes were delicious as well. The service was friendly and relatively quick. The chocolate cake with ice cream and whipped cream was also to die for. Would definitely recommend to visit!!

We were treated poorly as a single parent shoved to a dirty table by the door being told it was all available. Other tables were opened and servers happily found these tables with better views and atmosphere for the tables with just adults. Read in another review there is actually a kids menu we were not offered. Pork chop and burger were dry, burger was inedible. Fries were good. Besides sitting by the door in awkward table and dry proteins, the restaurant has nice views. Perhaps if you aren't a single parent, you will be treated better.

Decent food, amazing view, servers on the slower side but food came out quickly once ordered. Not the easiest to navigate to though. Google Maps only takes you partway there and after that you need to follow the small signs. Park in the cobblestone parking lot and walk down the steep cobblestone path to the burg/restaurant. There are 4-5 parking spots near it, if you want to try. The restaurant/Burg could make it so much easier for visitors if they gave similar parking instructions on their website. I had to use a combo of Google Maps navigation and the satellite view to get an idea where to park.

Incredible views, good wine. Only tried the kids chicken nuggets and fries for food, but they were very good.

An amazing view of the valley below! The Burg offers so much historical information on the local area and the Burg itself. They also have food available and beverages. Be careful to drive up and down the roads slowly! The roads are very narrow and there can be a lot of traffic during the summer.
