Restaurant by Berghotel Oeschinensee

The view is great , the food came less then 10 minutes which probably is pre cooked , but the only reason to give 1 stars because of the elderly woman worker with short hair, she was very racist, 3 people got up from the table next to us and they left the plates on the table and she said nothing, when I got up she said "you! You cannot leave the plates there, you need to put the plate there" I told her that the other people did the same thing , then she turned to another table and said something about black people (I studied German) i suggest the owner to hire people who are not with the old racist mentality , the rest of the stuff where not like her I visited the restaurant on Thursday Update: on the 29th I also contacted the restaurant via email to see if they support this kind of behaviour and racism, Update: after months they never replied, which means the management accepts racism

Cannot fault with this place right by the lake. Food is delicious and it’s one of the rare few places in Kandersteg that serves chicken! The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. Price is reasonable and typical for Kandersteg.

We had a pleasant break at this Swiss restaurant with a nice view of Oeschinsee Lake. The cheese and meat plate was good, featuring authentic local products. Despite the busy lake area, we found a table with a great view without a reservation.

For a restaurant with the prime view of the lake. They can easily charge you expensively and with terrible food. But actually their food tastes great, and price is not too expensive.

A traditional Swiss restaurant by the side of lake Oeschinensee The view is magnificent. Even the lake was frozen, the view is mind-blowing. We ordered a cheese charcuterie plate with beer and wine, and it was delicious. The staff were very friendly and kind, especially Barbara 🥰. She knows how to take care her clients. Keep up the great work and service, Barbara. We didnt order their main because we were full from breakfast, but seeing the other clients eating, their food looked delicious 😋. I highly recommend dropping by the restaurant for pitch stop before venturing into the lake!

Amazing Swiss restaurant, good food and friendly service! Amazing view to the Oeschinensee, Swiss Alps and excellent Swiss food🇨🇭❤️🥳 you can hike there or take a cable car 🇨🇭 we ordered vegetables soup with a grilled sausage! To polish it we took local white wine and local beer 🍺 ❤️🇨🇭 this was amazing hiking trip! We enjoy breathtaking, amazing, unforgettable view together with local food and beverages ❤️ we made a hiking tour that took about 4-5 hours starting from Kandersteg with the amplitude of 450m. This place is amazing!!! Thank you❤️

Nice terrace. We just tried the small cafe. The muffin was very dry. They sell just that strange Sinalco coke.
