Typical Belgian restaurant, a little bit more high end, definitely worth it! The menu is presented in a very fun way, using a newspaper style, which contains many options. The meat / steak options are absolutely fantastic, perfectly prepared. Accompanied by a wide range of great wine options. The host is very friendly and makes you feel very welcome, almost at home. The restaurant itself is decorated simply and cozy, in a typical Belgian style. A place you would come back many times, easily. Highly recommended!

I visited an Italian restaurant in the heart of Bruges and had a fantastic experience. One unique feature of this place is its menu, which is designed like a newspaper—stylish and fun to read. The pasta dishes were all delicious, but the mushroom pasta stood out the most. It had a rich, creamy flavor with perfectly cooked pasta that absorbed the sauce beautifully. Every bite was full of umami and depth. I would definitely love to visit again!

We had an amazing evening here. We had pasta, the hanger steak and a bottle of wine. All of which were delicious. The service matched the food, the staff were friendly and very helpful. We’d 100% come back here 👍

If you are visiting Brugge you must book into Chagall! The owners are front of house & ensure they exceed your expectations on both service & food. Both the seafood soup & the meatballs were glorious, the puddings were both divine too. We were in food heaven! Make sure you book as they are highly sought after so to avoid disappointment. Thank you again for such a wonderful evening.

Google
What a cracking find. We chanced on this lovely restaurant as we were walking through the beautiful city of Bruges. The lady that sat us down was delightful and friendly. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere was perfect. I'd defiantly recommend this place for good quality food.

Google
A lovely small restaurant in Bruge with a brilliant atmosphere and fantastic food. For something so central we were very impressed with the quality and service provided; it's not a tourist trap like some places. We loved it so much we went for second time and If we ever return to Bruges, Chagall will be top of the list to book. With friendly service provided and it being reasonably priced we found no faults at all. Finally, we definitely recommend booking as lots of walk-ins were turned away.

Tasty food, lovely atmosphere, nice staff! We had the duck leg with risotto (very yummy) and the Jaws Bouillabaise, alongside beer, gin tonic (highly recommend the pink gin), and tiramisu and creme brulee😍. I would advise making a reservation.

Yelp
It's a cozy little restaurant with great ambiance. The waiter was quick and food arrived fast. The food was absolutely delicious even if it was a little high prized. There were a couple of things that I would suggest they improve on. There was an unpleasant smell. The place looked spotless so it could be a scent stick or something. But it kinda smelled like poo.... Also, it is a very small space and the table right behind my partner had cleaning supplies and a bucket... If you don't get seated at the very back of the restaurant, you'll be getting a very cold breeze every time the front door opens. Not wheelchair friendly

Yelp
We went to Chagall our first night in Bruges and the food here was amazing. The pasta had amazing flavor and there were a ton of shrimp in the dish. The steak was refreshing and I was so sad I had a piece of bread prior to eating this otherwise I would have been able to eat more. I am not sure if our server was the owner, but she was very sweet and the food came out very quickly. This is a must when you are here.

Yelp
I highly recommend this cozy and adorable restaurant if you're visiting this cute medical town Bruges, Belgium. It's a fantastic restaurant with outstanding food and amazing service. We actually already had lunch at another restaurant in old town before stumbling across this restaurant. The owner was really sweet. She immediately came to talk to me and introduced some dishes when seeing me looking at the menu board in front of the restaurant. So I decided to come in for another lunch. All of the dishes we ordered were recommended by the owner and they were chefs kiss.

Yelp
Fun and upbeat ambience, good food and wines. Traditional Belgian. We enjoyed our meal very much!

Yelp
Came here for an anniversary celebration, and glad we did! They checked our COVID certificate once we were seated. We started with some aperitifs (a beer and an aperol spritz). The aperol spritz was good! Maybe a little sweet but good. For our appetizer we split the warm goat cheese salad. It was delicious. My husband's only comment was that it was missing a little crunch. He kept looking for it. Otherwise, awesome. For dinner my husband ordered the traditional stew and I got a traditional steak. When the food arrived we each took a bite of our own food, then tried the other person's food, then promptly switched plates. The stew was fantastic, the steak not to my taste. My husband would say the same, only vice versa. We got a bottle of wine to go with our dinner. I love pinots and our waiter recommended one (like he read my mind), so I was happy! For dessert we got some ice cream with hot fudge. So good!

Yelp
This is an absolutely amazing restaurant in Bruges. We happened across it for a late lunch and could not have been more pleased. The salads were large and fresh, the mussels were a huge portion fresh from the sea and the shrimp were bursting fresh. The owner and his wife were an absolute pleasure to speak with. I wish we had more time in this delightful town for another visit!

Yelp
We took a train to sight see in Bruges for the day. As dinner was approaching we strolled past this place and inquired about dinner. There was nothing available for a couple of hours, so we made a reservation for later in the evening. So glad we did! Its intimate & charming. Not like a restaurant, but a quaint home. We started with a great bottle of white wine recommended by the server. Husband had the Braised Beef, Flemish Style (beef, dark beer & onion) while I had the Mussels w/fries House style (red port, cream & garlic). Excellent. From the pic, you can see that my husband had cleaned his plate by the time the server could take our picture. Haha! Service was fantastic and I would highly recommend.

Yelp
Off of Markt Square, it offers a nice ambience for people watching and fancier food fare. We were craving moules and frites and my friend and I just thought we'd split it because another table had one which looked huge and enough for 2 people. When we sat down and ordered we were told 2 main dishes should be ordered "for the kitchen". If 2 people are sharing 1 meal, an additional €5 will be added to the check. Fine. We ordered scampi pesto pasta. When we asked for tap water, we were told they don't serve tap water and so we hesitantly ordered still water. Bread was an additional €1.90. Ketchup was €1.50 as is mayo. Mussels and frites € 26.90 Scampi pesto pasta € 18 Still WATER € 6.70!!! Extra plate to share € 5 There was only 1 lady server working on a busy Friday night so service and check took forever. Don't be trapped here. Find other touristy restaurants who don't have stupid rules.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went to Chagall for lunch - it was a random choice as we had just gotten to Bruges. It was excellent. I had the mussels and he had the soles - everything was tasty, and the bread was delicious. The atmosphere is a nice mix of modern and hold and there was a fire burning in the chimney.

Yelp
We had the typical Belgium moules & frites. It was a convenient corner to eat and the food was good.

Yelp
Chagall Was recommended to us by our host at our B&B. We arrived late so we did not want to search for a restaurant for dinner. I had the tender, delicious rabbit dish. It was served with a fresh salad of lettuce, cabbage and carrots along with Frites. My wife ordered "the Tourist Menu" which was a braised beef and onions (light on the onions) cooked in a local draft beer. Very tasty, served in a single serving le Creuset. There was a small, delicious chocolate mousse included. We are vegetable lovers and would have ordered sides of vegetables, but we did not see that option..... But we may have missed it. The restaurant and the staff was very busy. We felt a bit rushed ordering and not fully comfortable asking questions for that reason. We also did not receive bread , which other tables did. Overall though the quality of the food itself was very good.
