Restaurant Conviva im Blauen Haus

It’s such a hidden gem in Munich, offering great food and service.

We were staying across the street and randomly walked in for dinner. We had a lovely experience. We both ordered salads to start. My husband had the veal tenderloin and I had the tuna. Everything was quite lovely. The waitstaff were very friendly and helpful since we had no German.

Wonderful restaurant for lunch or dinner. Small but diverse enough à la carte menu. Vibrant, fresh, tasty dishes. As good for a special occasion or for a low key dinner. No nonsense decor, modern but warm - shared tables. Professional performing arts clientele from nearby theatres and opera house. Very relaxed but classy, mature intellectuals and younger cool crowd.

We arrived, had a reservation for 4 and didn’t liked the table we got (all the tables were literally empty, see picture) therefore we asked nicely if we could be seated in a different table! The waitress said she had a personal system so we had to seat in that specific table she gave us (just because of her system she didn’t offer any other explanation) we asked her to explain more and she argued it’s like it is! So we left…

Atmosphere somewhat industrial, but great food and very reasonably priced for Munich city center!

Rarely a reviewer however this evening blew me away, wonderful relaxed atmosphere with sensual, well presented, understated dishes. Friendly and welcoming staff, thank you!

Had a really lovely lunch there. The food was delicious and quite affordable compared to other restaurants we’ve eaten at in Munich. The service was also great.

A great staff, fine cuisine the remains me of the French Chef back home but at an affordable price tag ! The place to get out of the tourist traps 😎
