The food tasted good. But the portions were much smaller than they describe it to be. The waiter said that the salad was big. News flash: it wasn’t. The place is too pricey for what it has to offer.
The menu was in Spanish AND English, not separate. That’s usually a sign that the place is not as authentic as it claims to be.

This not just a restaurant, this an experience to enjoy and don't forget to tour the underground wine caves/cellars. The suckling pig and Garlic soup (sopa Castellana de ajo con huevos) were excellent.

Great place to visit in Chinchón! You can visit the cuevas for free. We stayed for some wine and beer in the underground bar. It's great for hot days since the cuevas is cool. The tapas were good as well!

The very special vine yard history makes the restaurant so unique. The dishes are full of favour & tasty especially after touring the underground cellar.
A special experience of walk around the Chinchon village and the woody smell so good in town.

The best traditional restaurant associated with a wine cellar that I have seen. It is the first time I have seen caves with giant jugs where wine is stored. And the food is 5 stars. I appreciated a Galician tenderloin steak, better done than in all the other restaurants I have been to elsewhere. It was worth coming specially from Madrid. It was a successful day. Thanks to the restaurant staff.

This was my first visit to Chinchón. We travelled there by bus from Madrid, about a 50 minute drive from the city centre. As you enter the village you will find classical architecture in a beautiful setting. In the middle of this place is the restaurant Cuevas del Vino.
This place is historic and full of interesting things to see. Before we sat down to eat, we walked through the many rooms of the restaurant, all the way down to a small bar in a cave.
We went back up and had some classic dishes and wine served from a little bag made out of pig's skin. It was a great experience and definitely a place to add to your restaurant experience in central Spain.

What an amazing place. Great history and artifacts - including a long history of visits from famous actors. The food and services were also impeccable. And I loved being served wine from those little wine skins. Highly recommend.
