The food is always amazing! But, even better than the amazing food is the service! Patricia is an amazing human being who is so warm and kind it feels like having dinner with family! A gem!!!!!

EAT is tucked away in a little alley. Be on the look out or you'll miss it. It's small and simply decorated. The menu is also small and changes with the seasons and availability. If you have food allergies call ahead and ask. The steak and smoked salmon were the 2 favorites at the table. The salmon is smoked in house and is terrific. They have some nice wines available. EAT is a little pricey. About 100 Euros for 2 including a bottle of wine, but no dessert.

This restaurant was a hidden gem. The course that impressed me the most was the starters, with the tomato panna cotta and the peach tart. I could taste the freshness and sweetness in the peach tart. For dessert, I had the tiramisu and the ice nougat. They were both exceptional, but I liked the nougat more.

So delicious! Pisaladiere de rouge, Supreme de poulet francais, all the dishes were delicately seasoned and very Unforgettable restaurant. I will comeback. Highly recommend!

Wonderful restaurant to stop by when you’re in Avignon! The food was magnificent. There are about 4-6 selections for each course (you can decide how many courses to take) and each dish is made from carefully selected local ingredients. The service was friendly and comfortable. We absolutely loved the vibe of the simple clean atmosphere. Thank you!

Beautiful 3 course meal for a reasonable price. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful, and we all enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere and service were more laid back than classic fine dining, but the food and wine were on par. Would definitely recommend!

The chef really knows his stuff. The food is gorgeous and very tasty. The chicken was the star of the night. Very flavorful. Happy we went with the nougat because it wasn’t too sweet but was nice and fruity with some good texture differences. It was a quiet restaurant to have a conversation and the prices quite reasonable.

This restaurant has a bit of a private kitchen vibe, as can be seen from the photos of previous diners. The menu changes with the seasons, and even the side dishes for the same main meats vary. For my season period meal, there are 4 main dishes to choose from: steak, fish, pasta, and chicken. Being a carnivore, I went with the steak. 🥩Smoked Pepper Sauce Steak Just by the name, you can tell it's not a traditional French dish. Unlike traditional sauces like béarnaise or hollandaise, this smoked pepper sauce is likely a modern and innovative creation. The orange color sauce on the steak reminds me of the chili oil on Lanzhou noodles. This smoked pepper sauce has a unique flavor, quite distinct from Australian or American-style steaks. 🥩Basil Cream Pasta This is a classic Italian-style dish. The rich basil-flavored cream sauce coats the pasta, making it irresistible. The cooked tomatoes add some texture to prevent it from being too monotonous, making it a top choice for pasta lovers. 🥩Pastilla of Saint-Marcellin Cheese with Almonds and Honey This is an appetizer. The cheese is heated within the pastry, and when you cut into the pie, the warm, thick cheese oozes out, becoming a creative salad dressing. However, this cheese flavor doesn't focus on salty or savory, which may not be to everyone's taste. It's a bit like when foreigners try peking stinky tofu for the first time; the initial taste sensation is the "stink." French desserts never disappoint, and this one was no exception. The hot dark chocolate and cold hazelnut ice cream complemented each other, providing a beautiful ending to this meal. The only drawback was that it was a bit too sweet, but this seems to be a characteristic of local desserts. Whether it's one of the reasons many locals have hair loss issues remains a mystery.

Yelp
Wonderful meal and ambiance... Small place and menu but everything we had was delicious and reasonably priced. The chicken dish was the group's favorite. Only 1 server when we were there but he was very efficient. This was best meal we had in Avignon. Highly recommended.

Yelp
EAT ... Looking for a place for dinner in Avignon old town can be challenging ... lots of choices and similar menus. We found EAT in the side streets and were lucky to get seated in the small dining room. We all had the semi-fixed meals and had each of the offered entres .. all four of us were very pleased and enjoyed the veal, pasta & peas, prawns, and white fish in coconut. Desert was awesome!

Yelp
Located down a little alley, a little hard to find, but WELL worth searching for. Family owned, with husband as cook and wife as our host/ server. An amazingly great experience. Felt so welcome, our host spoke perfect French, Spanish and English (making it easy to ask any question and get the perfect recommendations. She was very engaging and made you feel so comfortable. Her husband prepared great apps (hummus plate) dinners (veal, guinea fowl, rouge fish) and deserts (chocolate cake & salted Carmel ice cream and Key lime on meringue) were all outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Yelp
Would love to give this place a 4.5! Delightful from beginning to end. Had made a reservation via email and they confirmed as well as responded to a couple of additional exchanges. We arrived early and they were expecting us and could accommodate us. Had a cute table ready outside. I speak little French and the waitress spoke little English. The waitress went out of her way to look up the translation for the special so she could explain to us. Was so kind. Lunch was delightful. Had a black squid ink risotto with vegetables and prawns. Thought it was well prepared. My family had the special which was a sirloin. They thought it was pretty good. They loved the homemade dessert, however. This place is small and intimate, off the beaten path and away from the typical tourist spots. Highly recommend for a true taste of Paris.

Yelp
Love, love, love this back-alley, neighborhood gem! We were in Avignon for only three nights and wanted to try different places but dined here on our first and last nights. Run by a husband and wife team (husband is the chef, wife is the charming and gracious hostess/server), this place is down to earth but delicious and authentic. The food was just what we imagined and hoped for during our visit to southern France. We would definitely return when back in France and would consider returning to Avignon so we can return to EAT! Great food, great service, great time!!! Merci!

Yelp
Wonderful food, gracious service, cozy little interior with a lovely bathroom. Menus were provided in both French and English, and the hostess spoke excellent English as well. It's a place built for a leisurely, unpretentious meal with good company and a carafe of wine. My boyfriend was immensely satisfied with his beef dish, while I was really happy to see a dish clearly marked "végétarien". The generous portion of tagliatelle turned out to be bathed in a wonderful garlicky olive oil based sauce. The chocolate fondant/lava cake turned out to be exceptional. EAT currently has an unbeatable 15€ deal for lunch - plat du jour, cheese or dessert du jour, a glass of wine, and a cup of coffee. Considering how good the food is, 15€ is a steal! We are already scheming to go back for lunch if we can. :)

Yelp
Great food, great combination of good quality products, good cooking execution and wonderful service. Not to mention nice price point for full weekday menus! Plus the street is quite and place is well decorated. Strongly recommend as a regular spot

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in for an early dinner on our last night in Avignon. We spent a total of three days in the city. This was our best meal by far in the city. The restaurant is quite cozy and comfortable. And the service was excellent. We speak very limited French and that was not an issue. Their English was fantastic. Our starters of warm lentil salad and goat cheese baked in an apple we're spectacular. Not to be slighted by the hake which was cooked to perfection. Desert was a pleasure as well. Planning on returning next time we are in the area.

Yelp
My siblings and I got into Avignon after a long day of travel from Italy where we experienced the best food of our lives... This was completely on par if not better then those experiences. The food was tremendous, the staff was extremely friendly and made great recommendations (it's run by a husband and wife and they are wonderful). We tried a number of dishes to share and everything we had was delicious. Our favorite thing we tried was the fish of the day which was a Seabass with chirezo sauce and crispy vegetables all of which were amazing. Pathrethea (the wife) recommended a light red wine that was both delicious and affordable (18euros for a bottle) and some of the best we have experienced on our trip (we've had at least one bottle with every meal so far) :) you definitely can't go wrong with anything on the menu as far as we could tell as we thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried there. We will most likely be doing lunch there tomorrow.
