The three of us were there yesterday and enjoyed a great evening with an entertaining and caring Ricardo who served really well prepared burrata with salad and pizza diavolo. The atmosphere in this old building with an industrial touch is very cozy and relaxing. The great height of the room makes it easy to understand each other, even though the walls and floor show a lot of old concrete.

Tye quality of the food was exceptional. Simply elegant truffle, parmesan pasta. The service was sleek and professional yet friendly and relaxed. A truly classy place that I felt was perfect for a birthday meal. Will definitely visit again when I return to Hamburg

I liked the atmosphere of this restaurant, located in the center of Ottensen, in an old factory. The pizzas were delicious, but we had to wait more than 30 minutes to get them. The brownies was very moist and with good chocolate taste!

Atmosphere I would give a 6*. Service was prompt with a smile. We had a wonderful pizza - actually three different ones- and a truffle pasta that was prepared to perfection. It’s a gem and you should try it if you are in the area. Don’t miss the good food and the tasty cakes and to see good service.

Delicious pizza with crispy thin dough. The pasta was also really good. The service was friendly but we had to wait quite long for the main courses to arrive.

The food is to die for! Honestly, everything is done with so much care and attention to details, and you’ll see that once you taste the food. Been there for different occasions, and every time the food wows me. Casual atmosphere, friendly service and a spot-on menu. Can’t recommend the Caesar Salad enough!!!

Fantascic beer. Good ingredients, thin base, large pizzas (from 11 to 15 €). Nice service people. Desserts only if you like strage combinations of fruits. The place was a propeller factory. Lovely

This place is 1st class, we went with a group of 8 people, all had different meals and everyone was awesome. They offer a 3 courses for 33 euros which was unbelievable value, for the class of food that they served. There is know doubt this place has class, and is defo not just a place that does great pizza. I was blown away with the quality and service. 10 /10

Airy place catering to a smart crowd in Zeisehallen, Ottensen. Didn't like the food too much; Pizzas are a main part of their offering, but they serve a quality that feels dated by 15 years now. Some of their wines (e.g. their open Sauvignon Blanc) on the other hand pretty good. Service friendly but occasionally slow. If you are after very good Pizza in this part of town, do yourself a favor and seek out either "Pizza ZweiPunktNull" or "Farina meets Mehl" instead.

eines meiner lieblingsrestautants in hamburg. schön gelegen, in Altona beim zeisekino. das essen ist echt lecker. wer Lust auf eine ausergewöhnliche pizza hat, findet hier sicher auch was. alle Pizzen werden im Holzofen gebacken. die weinkarte ist umfangreich. ich lasse mir meistens einen Wein empfehlen - die Kellner haben Ahnung vom angebotenen Wein. der Service geht schnell, das Personal ist offen und freundlich. Die Preise sind voll ok, leider nehmen sie dort keine Kreditkarten - nur ec oder cash. auf jeden Fall mal hingehen - lohnt sich!

As far as I'm concerned, Eisenstein is all about three things: pizza, pizza and pizza. Not only is the Italian speciality made in proper fashion here (thin, crispy base, not too soggy topping), but I was delighted to find out that one can even order a pizza with proper salsiccia - a first for me in Germany! So yes, the pizza here is as good as they say. As for the rest - well, what you can see above are three stars instead of the five the pizza would deserve on its own. But the prominent lack of smiles or anything exceeding the most basic sense of friendliness meant I left Eisenstein without the urge to return the next evening. Oh, and espresso was decidedly middle of the road in that if was just too watery, despite having been made of good quality Carroux beans. But I'll be back eventually. Pizza Toscana makes me forget even the most Teutonic lack of warmth. Well, almost. It's a pity they don't do home delivery...

I was staying nearby and had read good reviews about Eisenstein, so I decided to give it a go. I needed to pay with American Express so before I sat down I asked one of the waitresses, she said they accepted AmEx, so I took a table outside. Then another waitress came to bring the menu, a blonde lady in her 50s. Her attitude and her face were terrible. It was obvious that I didn't speak German but instead of telling me the wifi password so that I could look up the words in google translate, she wanted to translate for me the whole menu. However, she couldn't even translate the first word I asked her. The pizza finally arrived, and I have to say I enjoyed it. However, when I wanted to pay, she told me they didn't accept American Express, as she tossed my card on the counter. Although I told her that I had asked in advance she wouldn't give and was very rude. I finally payed with whichever cash I had left and took off. Please avoid this place unless you like rude waitresses!!!!

Situated in an old factory of which as much as possible is still visible, Eisenstein has something of an industrial museum, and if it wasn't for the tables and cchairs, the bar and the people, it might be a gloomy place. Eisenstein is known for its pizzas: original, crispy and not too expensive. Personally, I like going there for its daily changing menu that is at once good and original and that can at times reach the highest peaks.
