A somewhat disappointing experience- from a place that has been heightened to the stars by so many reviewers across multiple platforms.
Our lunch was anything else than impressive. The food was so so- we ordered mussels with pasta and were served cold food and mussels that were undercooked- 8 out of 10 mussels on the plate were not open, and 1/2 of the open ones was semi cooked.
When complaining to the staff, we were told the kitchen staff claim the mussels are day fresh and that they don’t see what the issue is- but they were willing to prepare us a new batch. The second batch was warm and well cooked and all mussels were open. However, we could count 7 mussels on one plate and 10 on the other- plus quality and taste of the fish was so so, hence price quality ratio was off.
Child menu contained to one single dish of dull pasta with apple ketchup and a sausage- no other options, so not so family friendly for an Italian style eatery…
The staff was friendly WHEN they interacted with you- they were pretty absent, not so attentive and service was slow. When the main dish arrived, we asked for a glass of white wine and when we had finished up the dish, the wine was still to arrive, so we had to cancel the wine order. We even had to go find one of the staff to ask for more of the “ad libitum” water.
Finally, when we asked for the bill, it took them 10 minutes to get it to the table and after 10 more minutes of waiting, I had to remind them that I would like to pay.
When 5 minutes later, the waitress arrives to collect payment, we were told that they had deleted the water charge from the bill (70 DKK) as a gesture for all the issues we had experienced. Almost insulting!
The only two things that were good was the super expensive slice of focaccia bread with the 9 herbs oil and the expensive glass of Pinot Noir we had.
I will for sure avoid the place and would recommend most people to stay away. Not worth the extra drive or money.
