Restaurant Freilager

We received a “private” dinner at Restaurant Freilager as a gift for my birthday. It was absolutely fantastic. The wait staff is very attentive and the chef is simply great. He is passionate about giving all of his guests a memorable experience and he certainly succeeded with us! I highly recommend trying out this restaurant. If you are looking for a more relaxed experience, there is a casual restaurant attached as well. So good!!!

Visited this restaurant for lunch in August 2025. Exceptional value for money Italian food, especially the lunch menu. Great quality, great service. Only drawback is the area that is very very average. I strongly recommend going to this restaurant, especially if you want to eat excellent Italian food at a price that is unbeatable in Zurich.

Casual dining served by my favorite chef. Simple dishes, prepared to perfection. The fresh white truffle made my day.

In a dinner for two in the Trattoria, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the very friendly service from the first moment. Our high expectations were exceeded - exquisite, creative dishes in generous portions, combined with an excellent wine recommendation. Coming back!

Food - I had a Dorade - was delicious - service was efficient and very discreet - we had a business lunch. The ambiance on the terrasse is nice - it was a sunny spring day. Prices are typically high for Zurich although the restaurant is far from the center.
