I visited Restaurant Goldener Adler in Innsbruck with my family, including my two children. We loved the cozy atmosphere and beautiful old architecture of the building. The food was very good, and I especially enjoyed the Wiener Schnitzel. Unlike many nearby restaurants that are mostly for tourists, this place feels more genuine and serves proper, authentic Austrian food. Good wine too. Our waiter helped us choose the right wine to go with our meal, which made the experience even better. The service was friendly, and made us feel welcome. It was a great place to eat after exploring nearby sights.

Nice restaurant in Hotel Goldener Adler in Innsbrook. Historic hotel, dating back centuries. The menu is up to date, current Austrian fare. Service was crisp, attentive. Cocktails were excellent! Asparagus soup (in season) was good, as was the beef. Nice bottle of white Austrian wine rounded out dinner. Dessert .., strudel with vanilla ice cream (learning scoops are much smaller in EU!). Enjoyed dinner so much, forgot photos! 😅 Recommend this place for dinner.

Wonderful architecture and setting. Our servers were attentive and had good recommendations. Was a greasy last meal in Innsbruck eating local dishes.

I recommend this place for amazing local cuisine! Food: We ordered local dishes like the Tartar and the Gulasch. The Tartar was among the best I have eaten as the quality of the meat was very good. Sadly they didn't have deer Gulasch but the beef one was very tasty as well. I saw a few reviews about the price of the food and recommend to maybe not order fries with chicken nuggets and expect MC Donalds prices. This place makes great local food so I recommend ordering local dishes also. Service & Atmosphere: The staff is super friendly and professional and the location itself quite cozy and clean.

As a family (my wife and 6 month old son) went there for dinner to experience the typical Austrian cuisine. We went there spontaneously and have found immediately a table; it was at the back of the restaurant, with some few stair steps. The manager himself offered us his help to carry our stroller to the dinning table - very friendly. We ordered a typical Austrian dish with mashed potatoes and meatballs plus Wienerschnitzel (veal). The meat was so tender and soooo delicious. Also the wine recommendation from the manager was great. What the stay made remarkable was the outstanding, professional and friendly service of our waiter Martin. He managed everything and took time to explain us the dishes although they were quite busy. Food and drinks came always very fast (thanks to Martin’s colleagues). That was the reason why returned the day after for the dessert. The day after, Martin offered us a great table with the stroller and his friendly smile. We enjoyed the Kaiserschmarren and the couple of white wine glasses. My wife and myself will come back anytime again. We can definitely recommend this place to anyone; delicious food, excellent & friendly service and in a great ambience.

We visited this restaurant today for dinner and were very disappointed. The atmosphere inside was hot and smelled strongly of food — not in a pleasant way. The dishes were nothing special, yet surprisingly expensive for the quality. Unfortunately, the service was also quite poor. We felt not comfortable the entire time, with the bill brought to us almost immediately. On top of that, the food I specifically asked to take away was thrown out without any other solution. Overall, a very unpleasant experience — we won’t be coming back.

This restaurant was not our first choice to visit as Piano bar opposite was full. But it was certainly the most friendliest place in Innsbruck. From.the moment you enter the restaurant, various staff greeted us sincerely from what we felt. The waiter patiently explained the asparagus cream soup of the day and recommended dishes. He checked on us from time to time. Overall, we really recommend this place for a nice experience of Austrian cuisine.

Food quality was way under the price tag it holds. The menu was confusing, the graphics were off and it was way more reduced than what appeared on the online webpage. The veal schnitzel although the meat quality was good, the cooking was not. There is a proper way to make a good schnitzel and this was not it. The fried chicken, was okay, under seasoned for sure, the breading was the exact one to the schnitzel, which just seamed lazy for a restaurant that has the story of its cooks on the menu. The green garnish (feldsalat) could also be left entirely off the dish. Fries were okay and the service a bit pretentious but at the end okay as-well.
