Restaurant Gorgona

Avoid. Frozen food and a chicken 'burger that had to be left for fear of food poisoning. The food and the service left a lot to be desired with only the mixed grill being edible. None of the usual friendly service. The waiters clearly did not want to be there and paid little attention to is. The only poor meal we have had in Crete

One of the bigger taverns we've found here, so close to the sea. We were welcomed with a complementary Greek salad. I ordered Gorgona special which is mix of grilled seafood with a local white wine. All was tasty, fresh and juicy. After main dish we got some fruits for dessert. Everything taste excellent, the service is very nice and helpful. Definitely earned 5/5 Edit: this place serves food for 36 years here with no changes. Amazing and worth to visit.

If you value your health (or your taste buds), stay far away. The chicken was served raw in the middle, the pork was so overcooked it was like chewing cardboard, and the overall quality was shockingly bad. Easily the worst meal we’ve ever had, we wouldn’t wish this on anyone. Service was decent.

Gorgona is a nice restaurant and a lot of their clients are locals, which is a positive sign. The food is simple but tasty. The offered a small Greek salad that was quite nice. The chicken gyros was very filling, with lots of meat and delicious pita bread. The complimentary fruits were fresh and sweet, the perfect dessert after such a big meal.

Really great place to visit. First, view and overall vibe were nice, it felt authentically greek for us. Proximity of the sea resulted in nice, refreshing breeze and made our experience that much better Food quality and portion sizes were great, we left well feed. I can recommend chicked souvlaki with clear consciousness. Free water and fruits on the house that we got after our meal were nice touch Service was really good, quite quick and we didn't had to wait for our food for a long time For those prices, it's an easy to recommend place

100% recommended. Very tasty food, especially the fresh fish. Kind and efficient staff. One should also meet the owner, great person!

fresh calamari were great. the rest of the order (and we ordered a lot) was either average or simply not worth it/going to the restaurant. Shrimps were especially hard to chew, for a seafood restaurant that was too low of the standard. really the type of restaurant we will not go back again .
