Restaurant Gran Delicato

Delicious food with friendly and attentive service. I was in Helsinki for work and looking for a tasty meal. Gran Delicato was around the corner and looked good, and didn’t disappoint. The owner was very welcoming and explained everything. The food is delicious and good value for money: six big, juicy prawns for €20.

We enjoyed everything about this place. Very easy human kind booking, wonderful location, lovely atmosphere, nice serving, tasteful Mediterranean food, wonderful bread, customer friendly service.

This place is a hidden gem in the restaurant scene of Helsinki. It feels like you're stepping into a wonderful small restaurant in Greece. The place is beautiful, atmosphere warm, service super and the food & wines are amazing. The price-quality is really good. I can strongly recommend!! Also, this place might have the coolest restaurant toilet in Helsinki! :D

Gran Delicato is a wonderful Greek restaurant in the center of Helsinki. I went there for an early dinner and was well taken care by the owner of the restaurant. He proposed that I try the fried calamari and I found it to be excellent. He also helped to pair the food with good light Greek red wine. My overall impression of the restaurant is very positive.

I have visited this place a few times and i love it. It is pretty spacious with a unique layout. The food and coffee are excellent and the staff are very nice and friendly. I can finally drink my favourite ice coffee in Helsinki. I totally recommend it and I look forward to going back.

Our last night in Helsinki was absolutely wonderful and eating at Gran Delicato is what made it so memorable. It is very rare when a restaurant makes you feel like you are just right at home. Dimitris was so kind and greeted us with such hospitality. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and explained the origin of each dish to us. The food was absolutely delicious and aromatic. Went for a cozy lovely dinner date here. We both had delicious fall off the bone leg of lamb with bread. -that we dipped in 2 kinds of sauces: a mixture with eggplant and the other with cod roe. The quality red and white wine we ordered were superb, dry & aromatic. The food was good, but one of the best during the experience was the ambience: We sat insdie a cave-like area where there were antique items and bottles lining the huge stone boulder. It was a memorable romantic night

This place is a gem! The paninis are a must-try—fresh and toasted to perfection. We especially enjoyed the mushroom omelette panini. The salads are vibrant and generously topped, with a dressing that's fresh and zingy. The coffees are fantastic—well-rounded blend, slightly nutty, with a hint of chocolate. The hot chocolate is a rich, real chocolate delight, perfect for cold winter days. The friendly and welcoming service keeps us coming back every time we're in Helsinki. This cozy cafe is our go-to spot for a healthy and delicious brunch or lunch!
