Restaurant Gran Delicato

This place is a hidden gem in the restaurant scene of Helsinki. It feels like you're stepping into a wonderful small restaurant in Greece. The place is beautiful, atmosphere warm, service super and the food & wines are amazing. The price-quality is really good. I can strongly recommend!! Also, this place might have the coolest restaurant toilet in Helsinki! :D

Gran Delicato is a wonderful Greek restaurant in the center of Helsinki. I went there for an early dinner and was well taken care by the owner of the restaurant. He proposed that I try the fried calamari and I found it to be excellent. He also helped to pair the food with good light Greek red wine. My overall impression of the restaurant is very positive.

Our last night in Helsinki was absolutely wonderful and eating at Gran Delicato is what made it so memorable. It is very rare when a restaurant makes you feel like you are just right at home. Dimitris was so kind and greeted us with such hospitality. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and explained the origin of each dish to us. The food was absolutely delicious and aromatic. I have visited this place a few times and i love it. It is pretty spacious with a unique layout. The food and coffee are excellent and the staff are very nice and friendly. I can finally drink my favourite ice coffee in Helsinki. I totally recommend it and I look forward to going back.

Best food in Helsinki. Best service in Helsinki. Dimi was an amazing host, talkative and friendly. The food is hands down some of the best I have ever tasted. I will be coming back here each time I am in Helsinki.

We ate here the night before a half marathon and the server took great care of us to make sure we were race ready! Delicious and incredibly authentic greek food. The chicken was very flavorful and juicy. Spicy feta dip and the aubergine dips were a must have.

A special place with delicious sandwiches and paninis as well as a very interesting range of other dishes. It also serves excellent coffee (I had a delicious espresso freddo!) and offers a wide variety of Greek food products! Last but not least, the girls on the counter and on the service were extremely polite and helpful!

Gran Delicato in Helsinki is a cozy Greek haven! The small plates were bursting with flavor, and the ouzo hit just right. Brick walls add charm, but it’s a bit pricey. 4.7/5, loved it!
