Restaurant Grindelwaldblick

We had a nice lunch at the restaurant before our hike to Mannlichen during the weekend. The food was good and the prices were reasonable as well. Despite being a busy day the crew was still very friendly and accommodating. We had the Rosti, macaroni and cheese, pork schnitzel and apple strudel and enjoyed all the dishes.

Kleine Scheidegg is usually packed with tourists during the day, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this accommodation. It turned out to be beyond my expectations. The service was excellent, always friendly (not a given in touristy areas), and quick. The food was delicious, especially the breakfast (half board). After three days without warm water, the hot showers felt incredible. The dormitory offered a stunning view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and was very comfortable. Best of all, by sunset Kleine Scheidegg was completely quiet, and just one other guest and I enjoyed the breathtaking spectacle in peace. 10/10, absolutely recommend staying here.

Delicious fondu and rosti with a gorgeous view! Friendly, efficient service. Many vegetarian options and kid friendly. Hope to return after another long hike! Very convenient for hikers on the panoramic trail.

Amazing views. Reasonable prices. For Americans: be aware they despise Americans here so please study up on your German and try to look like you are from here. Otherwise expect dirty looks and extremely long wait times to have orders taken or to be seated. Also you cannot order drinks at the bar.

READ THIS REVIEW. Staff only served Europeans and paid no attention to Asian families. Attended to every table but ours. They told us to wait, but served others that came after. Wanted to order dessert but lost our appetites. Not worth the hype. Avoid.

The restaurant is located in a great area with good views and a pitstop on the hiking path. But you’d be better off packing food at the Coop. The food was mid at best, meat dry and overcooked. The service was horrible with long wait times and nasty attitudes from the servers and people at the counter. Very unfriendly towards non Europeans.

Amazing food and service with smile after an hr and half of beautiful walk on panorama trail walk. Tried Brutwurst with onion sauce and Vegetarian Rosti and was amazing . And the staff was friendly . Was not expecting this level of service at the top of the mountain👍🏻.

Best restaurant on the mountain. Kind staff, good food, reasonable price and very cozy. Keep in mind, no reservations possible. Personal recommendation: The burger and the Rösti with Raclette and egg
