Restaurant Isabella's Llafranc

Having booked this hotel before reading the trip adviser reviews we were horrified when we looked at them approaching arrival. We arrived in trepidation. To find… a perfectly lovely, beautifully situated classic seafront hotel. We stayed in two separate rooms ( couldn’t get the seafront one we wanted for our first night, so moved during our stay). Both great. Clean, well stocked, stylish with good attention to detail. Staff fine. Breakfast excellent. There is one particularly lengthy hyper critical review which is unfathomable now we have been here? Almost wonder if a rival hotelier involved? Don’t avoid this place, we are fussy and it passed our hurdles easily. Parking in enclosed parcel of ground two minute walk away, drive right up to beachfront hotel front, leave car to check in etc and then drive to parking with fob they give you. You are right on top of half a dozen places to eat at night.

We stopped there for lunch and had the most incredible meal. My wife states this was the best pasta she has experienced anywhere in the world. All food was cooked fresh and was beautifully prepared. The owner made a big fuss of my son and all staff were very helpful and professional, especially with my limited Spanish. The views from the tables out to the beach, sea and cove were stunning and it was nice to relax and enjoy the weather and views. We'd love to return and even stay there in the future.

Great location, vibe and restaurant (food was great when it came but we had to wait a long time to be served as they are super busy, it was an hour to get a drink). However, we were disappointed with the room and the service. The mini pool in the suite was broken, green and very dirty. There was also no hot water the first and second day of our stay, which the staff acknowledged was due to a boiler issue. They discounted our stay 20%, but still not really acceptable when paying €500 per night for the supposedly the best rooms. Hope management and maintenance can be improved!

This food was soooo delicious and such good value for money. Our waitress Josephine was so accommodating. We especially enjoyed the starters including the yummiest tuna tartar I’ve ever had. Very good prices, stunning aesthetic, delicious cocktails, superb wine and great atmosphere!

We were 11 people with kids. The waiters were very nice and kind but the food came in separated and each one of us almost ate alone, and the time between was pretty long considering they have little dishes. They also forget a side dish. And we were the first diners. That’s too bad considering it’s in a great location.

We stayed for three nights and loved being on the beach. All of the staff (from front desk to servers to housekeeping) were all so friendly and kind. Josephine was especially helpful. We also enjoyed the food at the restaurant, where we had breakfast and lunch. We loved the area and will definitely stay here again when we return.

Amazing restaurant with a sea views. Food was fabulous, super tasty and beautifully presented. Service very kind and helpful. Definitely we’ll be back to taste other delicious dishes ❤️

Our standard room was simple and very compact, but considering the prime location on the beach felt like good value for money! Breakfast on the terrace in front of the sea was magical each morning, and the complimentary SUP board hire made for an epic paddle around the bay! Can’t wait to come back next year!
