I was just walking by and decided to check this place out after seeing good reviews about the delicious food and the friendly owner. I'm so glad I did – it was a wonderful experience that completely exceeded my expectations! The owner is one of the kindest and most welcoming people I've met. She was so warm, spoke excellent English, and patiently explained the menu to me. Since I'd never had Afghan food before, I went with her recommendation: the Qhaboli Palaw, which she mentioned is very popular with Chinese and Japanese customers. I was surprised by the amount of raisins on top, and the taste was absolutely incredible! The ragù created such a rich and delicious flavor profile. The green chili sauce on the side is VERY spicy, but in a really good, addictive way. If you like heat, you'll love it! I had a lovely chat with the owner while paying. She was so friendly. It was so heartwarming to experience such genuine kindness. This is a hidden gem in a big city. Highly recommended for anyone looking to try something new and experience true, warm hospitality.

We didn't reserve but found a table when we arrived. The host is nice and friendly. She explained a bit about the options and was very helpful. We ordered the qabuli palaw and the kebab. Portions are just right. The meat had good flavor. The palaw was also very good. Good and fast service. The soup and dogh were also very good. Would recommend. Would visit again.

This restaurant is the best. Amazing food, great staff, great location, nice interiors, everything is fantastic here. The manager is very welcoming to all the customers. I took the set menu. For starters, I had the soup, which was good and had lots of veggies, I had it with lots of bread. In mains I took the rice with turkey kebab and salad. The kebabs were delicious. For dessert, I had the firni and it was very good too, it also had strawberries in it. It was a very fulfilling meal. All of this at a very affordable price too. As for decorations, they have several handcrafted items on the walls, as well as traditional musical instruments. It is very beautiful. The manager is a very jovial lady, she and I conversed in Hindi, I was pleasantly surprised to find that she knew the language. After I finished eating we talked for around 30 minutes, about Afghanistan, India, music, and other stuff.

This restaurant fulfilled my criterion for a homey budget friendly meal at a cozy place near my hotel. I went with my 10 year old daughter and we both enjoyed the dishes our waitress recommended. Warm intimate atmosphere was another plus.

Like this place very much! The lady was super friendly and helpful. Her English was also very fluent. She even introduced the musical instruments in the restaurant to us. We actually liked every dish. The first two photos are my favorites. Thanks for such a great experience.

This a casual spot but the food is just like “home”. The Bolani was stuffed with leeks and made just like an Indian Parantha. It was served with a little yogurt, lettuce and tomato. The eggplant and basmati rice was awesome. The rice was dressed with almonds and raisins. It went well with the eggplant which was a curry type dish….Not spicy but it was flavorful. The sweet dishes were decent. The charming and personable lady who looked after us made our visit delightful and enjoyable. We conversed about foods and cultures. It was a very warm and delightful dinner at this small but charming spot. Give this place a try. You will like it.

First time having Afghan food and it was incredible. Can’t believe this place was so quiet but perhaps as it was only just 7pm on a Monday evening. Would recommend.
