Restaurant Kornblume Bamberg

We ate at the Restaurant Kornblume after seeing it recommended in the Lonely Planet guide. It's well worth seeking out - it's on the quieter streets of Bamberg, away from the crowds and it's a lovely spot for food. It was a quiet evening when we were in and we had excellent service, with the chef coming out to ask us how we'd like our meals prepared. The results were some of the finest dinners we've ever eaten! Great meat dishes but also a falafel dish that was out of the world! Would definitely recommend and if we're ever back in Bamberg we would certainly return!

Very nice place, great service, pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, despite the fact that the menu is more on vegetarian area (you will find however also some meat dishes). The portions are big so if you enjoy also a starter or a soup (recommended), get the smaller size of the main dish! Good luck further in keeping the restaurant running in these special times!

A very nice restaurant. Service and food were excellent. Prices are moderate. Menu is primary vegetarian/vegan and native. All dishes are freshly prepared. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner there. Thank you very much.

This place is authentic and wonderful! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was so fun and the family who owns it was lovely. We will definitely be back again and could not recommend this restaurant more!

Great vegetarian/vegan food served here with very fresh ingredients. The attention and care given to prepare food is amazing. Interior provides a cozy and cheery atmosphere with brightly painted walls and nice art pieces. Service is polite, friendly and efficient. If you had any questions about food, servers will answer all the questions you may have. It offered a very classy date night for us.

Went on a cold Saturday night in February and the atmosphere was a bit limp. Feel it could have been cosier with smaller more intimate tables. Liked the salad course prior to the main meal. Really nice touch. Good quality and nicely seasoned main meals. Mine was a little potato heavy but my chum's shrimp pasta dish was excellent. Reduced portion size would have left room for desert, as it was we were pretty stuffed and so nothing further could be sampled. A nice alternative to the meat heavy Bamberg options but certainly room for improvement.
