We had a 3-course Chef's dinner at La Tasca as small group (3 people) and really enjoyed our meal. We got to try the seabass tartare with saffron oil and pea mousse (starter), porcini soup with lima beans served with bread (second-course), beetroot mille-feuille with chicory and green asparagus (main) and to finish it off, went for the blueberry tartelette with lemon curd and meringue on top. They have a limited but interesting selection of eines by the glass and bottle.
The highlights for me were the beetroot; it was buttery soft and sweet but it could hold its shape and the sweetness was not overpowering, it was just right! And of course, the tartelette. I loved the textural contrast of the meringue with the custard, it goes really well with the sweet and sour taste you get from the lemon curd.
We were very satisfied with the service as well, both our waitresses were very kind and they explained all dishes in detail, they were knowledge. La Tasca offers an elevated dining experience for good value, highly recommend!
