We had a wonderful dinner at Le Barrio.
For starters we had squid and köfte dishes, for mains we had a lamb zaatar and an aubergine dish, deserts were a twist on french toast and chocolate mousse. All very delicious and accompanied with a local wine.

We had the most delightful dinner out with our kids I can remember. The food was amazing, our young Spanish waitress super cute and sweet with the kids, the atmosphere so relaxed and we also got a super fool moon not sure is included in the menu

We went there last night after I made a booking via their website and also received a confirmation-e-mail. So far so good. :)
BUT:
When we arrived and asked for a table they denied to have a booking.
After showing their own confirmation-email they told me I should have called them for confirmation.
Then they didn't offer us a table instead they told us it's too late now anyways (Wednesday, 9 pm) and that they are closing soon.
So we had to look for another opportunity to dine somewhere.
No offer of any sort of compensation for our inconvenience - nothing.
Even if it would have been a voucher for 2 drinks or sth. But nothing?
I'm really disappointed.
Get a grip on your own website, your booking-algorithm and also offer a solution if u want to keep customers coming back.
Usually I don't give bad ratings let alone just 1 star - but this behaviour and the lack of willingness to attract us as customer made me really felt not welcome aka pissed me off. And it wasn't right, guys.
So don't get me wrong: I can't say anything about the food.
I hope next time u will find a better way to deal with ppl.

Wondeful, delightful food and service on a quiet nook in Avignon. I had Merlu covered in herbs de Provence for my main course served with fresh peas, asparagus and mashed fava beans and potatoes. So so good. My husband had flat bread with lamb. Again, amazing. Great wine recommendations. Don't miss this restaurant if you are in Avignon for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
This was the worst meal and the worst steak I have had in 70 years. The only thing on the menu that my gluten intolerant wife could eat was the "steak frites" so we ordered it. They sell it by the 100grams and said they only had 700 grams and we would have to take it all, so we did! A lot of meat? Not so much ! A lot of gristle and bone that couldn't even make a stew pot! Only 40% was edible. The French fries were good. When I checked the bill they had charged me for 4 glasses of wine to swill down with this travesty of a meal when we only had three. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!
Service was good, ambience was OK but our first meal in Avignon was definitely a bummer.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant! Everything was great including the foie gras, the lamb (agneux), the cuttle fish (seiche), the raspberry tiramisu and the wine. Prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be back!
