The restaurant has a nice interior decor and atmosphere. The service is good. The food is delicious too. Despite all things nice and beautiful, my vegetarian option i.e. a green curry didn't have rice with it. When I asked about it I was asked to search in the curry for a couple rice things which is new to me. I had to ask my wife to share her rice with me. Curry was anyway delicious. And so was the fish dish my wife had.

This is our fourth season coming to Chamonix and our fourth season coming to Le Cap-Horn It cannot be missed 😀 The food, the view, the smiling professionalism, it all contributes into a wondrous tradition Today, we were even able to meet the chef, Frederick, who took the time to come to our table, a super fun surprise and treat (almost as good as the ribs 😅) Thank you Le Cap-Horn and we will see you next season!

This is our third time dining at Le Cap-Horn, but our first having dinner as our usual reservation was for lunch. Have always dined in big group, group of 10 and dinner was now for a group of 7. Food standard is always there , no complains, we ordered kids meal (grilled fish, steak patty, fried chicken), soup, katsu, tacos, ribeye for adults While we did not order sushi, one sight that was observed, sushi was not made fresh, the sushi chef actually took pre made sushi (already wrapped in seaweed on the tray) from the fridge and served it to the customer. The only sushi that is freshly made seems to be the sashimi.. the fact that the sushi counter is open kitchen concept, it’s shocking to see this sight. Still giving 4 stars for food, as other than sushi the rest of the food we ordered is perfect. Service When we arrived, the restaurant was not busy, it got busier during the night. Service wise, could have been better. One of the wait staff who was helping to serve our meal came with the food and as only the main was served we asked if the dish comes with rice, his response was “yes it’s coming, I only have two hands”. To a simple question, he could have just responded with “it’s coming”, the last sentence was totally unnecessary. Atmosphere- love the atmosphere, still a clean and charming place

This was our second visit, and once again, the ambiance, service, and food did not disappoint. I chose the restaurant for its extensive and varied fish menu, and it lived up to expectations. The service was professional and attentive—so much so that I blamed my partner for the stonking hangover the next morning. However, my mother rightly pointed out that the wine was simply too delicious, and it was the attentive waitstaff who ensured our glasses were never empty. We ended the night with some scrumptious desserts. If you dress up or wear a simple t-shirt and jeans you won't feel out of place. A great night and a slightly fuzzy morning!

As a chef myself I love eating well and enjoying good service. Cap horn offers both. Yes it’s a tad pricey but the experience you will have if you stay for the second sitting is unforgettable! Truly amazing and unique atmosphere.

Google
The food was great. The service was awful aside from the server telling me I picked a great wine. I had the duck which was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely but very busy with people walking along the river between tables.

Google
Le Cap-Horn exceeded our expectations on every visit. We were so impressed that we ended up going multiple times during our stay, and each time was a delight. The food was exceptional, with a menu offering a wide range of delicious options. The drinks were top-notch, perfectly complementing the meal. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. One dish that stood out was the duck. It was cooked to perfection, tender and flavourful.

Yelp
Talk about another wonderful dinner in France. Not only was the food amazing. Le Cap Horn hit all points comes to personality and different. You walk down almost feel side alleyway narrow road/street cobblestone instead of concrete. The interior inside feels like walked into cabin up in the mountains rather the coming from streets. All these long wooden beams across the ceiling, it multiple levels so it stand out more, there even dj area on one level, and love the vibe of it all. Menu definitely has little of everything. It Asian fusion based. I ended up starting with ceviche. Refreshing. Nice full pieces of fish. Amazing. Salmon was perfect sear, moist cooked on point, and sauce everything balance that was delicious. Finish crème brûlée was creamy, rich, and perfect. Overall great spot for Asian fusion food if in Chamonix.

Yelp
Food - 2 Service - 3 Ambiance - 3 View - 5 Acclaimed Michelin star?? Seriously this place served food akin to Applebees but with an captivating view. Perhaps the owners believe the glorious mountain views can offset the subpar food. Salad was ok but the ribeye steak was overly chewy and nearly tasteless. We left early and enjoyed Turkish kabobs for 1/5 of the price. Never again.

Yelp
Service was slow and they served the wrong dishes with no apology. The servers were more interested in a large group near us and basically ignored us. The person who appeared to be the manager was rude and unapologetic when we advised that we got the wrong items.

Yelp
Great Food. Great Atmosphere. Great Drinks. I have never been to a restaurant where the waiter encourages you to dance on the table. A bit of a tourist trap.

Yelp
Being an Asian fusion restaurant, it is ironic that we (an Asian American couple) had a pretty racist experience from this restaurant. We had dinner here on New Year's Day, the food was pretty decent, and service was ok except for the manager who was blatantly racist. The manager completely ignored our table the entire 2-3 hours we were there. We observed him greeting all the other tables in our section kindly and checking on them throughout the night. When 3 or 4 of the tables left, we observed him run up to the new tables and give them the same friendly service. Meanwhile, the only time he acknowledged us was when we waved him down for the bill and even then, he brought the tab over, made no eye contact, and didn't say a word. When we asked why he didn't visit our table like the rest, he said "he didn't know us" which was a complete lie since we could overhear his conversations introducing himself to the other international tables (Brits, Americans, etc). When we brought up that his service to us was very poor, he responded "I don't f--ing care", and threw our credit card on the table after we paid. His demeanor to us was very condescending and racist, which is completely unacceptable, especially for a high end restaurant like this one.

Yelp
Food: five Decoration: five Ambience: four Service: three This is a fancy restaurant composed by several different parts. The decoration on the first floor is quite cozy and cabin feeling. The second floor was partly with DJ and loud music and another part that was more peaceful. We went to this part. The food was terrific with ace meat, very delicate vegetable and savory taste. We ordered the nails, terrine avec foie gras, magret de canard (duck breast) , joue de porc a l'asiatique. The appetizer is impressive. The foie gras was fresh and subtle. The snails were cooked with pesto and tasted stretchy. The duck breast, omg, the fat part was so well cooked as the first bite that it was melting in the mouth. The suspense of the food here is that it is a fusion with Asian food. Afterwards we had a brilliant desert with there layers of different tastes and texture. Overall, the food here is definitely the highest level. But the service was slow and the waiter is a little snobbish. He took a shot with some friends behind our desk during serving us. The dishes were also slow to serve. And we brought a good bottle of wine by agreeing paying some fee. But the fee was 50 euro which is too high.

Yelp
Very disappointing experience. It is an expensive restaurant, but the food is mediocre at best. The burger was tasteless and served without any sauce on it, the stake was ok but tiny and the French fries tasted as if the frying fat had not been changed in ages. In addition I have not experienced such bad service in a long time: almost not accepting the choice of wine because it was not the most expensive bottle on the list, bringing bread to the table after the meal was over, being rude about not ordering desert (we wanted to get out of there and did not feel like trying another of their chef's lazy interpretations of a dish ...) and then begging for a tip. Amazing.

Yelp
I greatly appreciate the quick response a couple of months ago via email to make a reservation for dinner. The restaurant is beautiful. The food was very good. Escargot was excellent. The Asian noodles with chicken was ok. The sole was ok. The salad with pear was very good. Service was good though our waiter wasn't friendly, happy, nor welcoming. A Korean food critic said he didn't care if the service was terrible as long as the food was devine. Unfortunately the food wasn't devine to justify the cost and the unpleasantness.

Yelp
Fantastic food and beautiful ship-themed decor, but the service was subpar and so unbelievably slow, even by European standards. Getting our food was incredibly slow and aggravating. Then, it took us 30 minutes to get the check (no exaggeration) and this was after asking the waitress twice and some other waiter once. Once she finally brought the check over she dropped it like a hot potato and ran off before we could even give her the credit card. Then we waited another five minutes for the male waiter to come back and finish the transaction. Being on vacation means I've got some time to kill, but not so much time that I'm hanging in one restaurant for 3 hours for a relatively straightforward meal.

Yelp
Went here during my tour of Chamonix-Mont Blanc and i loved it! The food was amazing, i had escargot, pasta, and gelato for dessert, plus a bottle of champagne and everything was lovely. Great service, and not as busy as other restaurants around town. If you're looking for a nice, special place to have an exclusive lunch/dinner in Chamonix this is the place!

Yelp
If you're tired of fondues, raclettes, and other Savoyard specialties, and have already tried the gastronomic palazzos, this is a good place. Elegant maritime-style décor and interesting menu: In addition to traditional French dishes, they also have ceviche, a short selection of sushi, and Chinese-style noodles. The seafood is fresh and pretty good.

Yelp
This place is INCREDIBLE!!!! At first we were hesitant to go in because we were not sure about the lack of reviews, but let me tell you, it's a gem and a fantastic place!!! The food is incredible, the wine is to die for and the atmosphere is nice and cosy with great waiters. You must get the escargot!! Definitely the duck and the filet are a must and if you don't get the soufflé you have made a mistake!!! The soufflé is divine!! Absolutely incredible !!

Yelp
Great service and good food. Shared the escargot, ceviche and beef carpaccio for appetizers. For entrees we selected the king crab salad which was delicious and the fish of the day. For dessert had the soufflé (awesome presentation) & a porto. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Yelp
This is some serious fine dining in Chamonix. You can get fondue, raclette and tartiflett many places, but they do traditional all with a special touch. Careful when ordering in France, if you order fondue or la pierreade, the price printed is per person, you can't ask for one fondue to share among a crowd. That's just the culture of dining here. The menu is full of variety too. I will say the food was excellent. The terrine and frois gras was delicious, the tartiflette to get cozy with, and the pork breast was the finest i ever tasted. This is a great restaurant and they know it. expect to spend €. Minus a rushed attitude from the hostess when the dining room was nearly empty, it was a fine experience.

Yelp
Love everything about this place The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. We came here twice we liked it so much. 100% recommend without reservation. Also, they did this cute thing for birthdays where they play music and put a firecracker in a cake. Looked epic.

Yelp
Worst dining experience of our week long trip - but most expensive by a long way. Would not go again - lots of other better options in the town. Lots of cons. - Had a 9.30pm reservation for 2 and ended up not getting main courses until 11pm. - - - All of the staff seemed very panicked and disorganized - restaurant was pretty busy but still multiple open tables so unclear why - When the food finally arrived, the salmon was very poorly cooked and almost inedible (the burger was good but absolutely not worth the 125 Euro check). - Sommelier seemed intent on selling us the most expensive bottle of wine possible, rather than talking about our actual preferences - We did have a reservation but getting seated was a nightmare - everyone showed up at once for the 9.30 seating so downstairs was packed We didn't even bother with dessert. Entire experience was very negative and not up to the "fine dining" standard the restaurant likes to promote.

Yelp
We ate out every night for 5 nights and this was our last night and our favorite. It was such a nice place and the food was excellent. We had the sushi and escargot to start and then had the special which was tuna tataki which we seared on a hot plate at the table. This was a great lively place in the heart of Chamonix.

Yelp
I absolutely loved my experience at the Cap Horn! The food and service were both amazing and the restaurant itself was beautiful! I would definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Really good place. We were on the diner with my wife and that was nice evening. Great snails, pasta with lobster and tiramisu. Nice atmosphere and great interior design....

Yelp
Ate their twice on two consecutive nights. Sure it's not eating on the cheap, but if you're willing to spend, I don't know, about 40 euros a person (not counting wine or cocktails) what you get is really quite outstanding in every way. Whether you're considering food quality, presentation, decor, ambiance, friendliness, helpfulness, menu variety, this is a "don't miss". Just on desserts alone this place would merit 5 stars but there is much, much more.
