This is our third time dining at Le Cap-Horn, but our first having dinner as our usual reservation was for lunch. Have always dined in big group, group of 10 and dinner was now for a group of 7.
Food
standard is always there , no complains, we ordered kids meal (grilled fish, steak patty, fried chicken), soup, katsu, tacos, ribeye for adults
While we did not order sushi, one sight that was observed, sushi was not made fresh, the sushi chef actually took pre made sushi (already wrapped in seaweed on the tray) from the fridge and served it to the customer. The only sushi that is freshly made seems to be the sashimi.. the fact that the sushi counter is open kitchen concept, it’s shocking to see this sight.
Still giving 4 stars for food, as other than sushi the rest of the food we ordered is perfect.
Service
When we arrived, the restaurant was not busy, it got busier during the night. Service wise, could have been better. One of the wait staff who was helping to serve our meal came with the food and as only the main was served we asked if the dish comes with rice, his response was “yes it’s coming, I only have two hands”. To a simple question, he could have just responded with “it’s coming”, the last sentence was totally unnecessary.
Atmosphere- love the atmosphere, still a clean and charming place
