Each dish we ordered was delicious and skillfully prepared. The portions were decent, but for the premium cost, we anticipated a slightly more substantial serving. On the positive side, the service was top-notch, and the dining area offered a spacious, uniquely atmospheric setting that was quite enjoyable.

We had lunch at this restaurant, great Lebanese food. Amazing hospitality by Mr. Muhammad, the owner of the restaurant. Pomegranate juice was fresh. All the dishes we requested were awesome. It is one of the best restaurants I have visited in Switzerland. Would highly recommend.

Google
It took some time until we got to order, service seemed very busy and therefore nearly forgot us. But the food made up for all this. It was absolutley massiv and so so tasty. Although it was delicious, we could not finish all the dishes bc of the sheer size. Recommendation!

OK, this review comes with a caveat. I went without reservation and the car on the meter. Some things you learn by making mistakes so I wish to come back with reservation and no timer! All is good, from the warm welcome to the fast service but most of all, the quality and diversity of excellent Lebanese food. As a Portuguese person visiting Zurich, I will not debate price, all I can say is that I should be back for more.

This place is usually packed so make sure to book a table. We visited twice while we were in Zurich. One of the top options for middle eastern and halal food. Because they’re busy, they don’t have time to recommend dishes, or to take special requests (like having the salad be less sour for example). We were rushed into choosing what to order but the food is really good. Price is reasonable considering the place interior and the food portions are good. The dessert (pudding with fruits) was phenomenal can’t remember its name but it’s in the video!

Amazing experience!! Totally recommend if you're in for something new! We took 2 mezze for 6 people for a group of 12, and it was absolutely splendid! We had plenty of choices to eat with unlimited bread, and each plate was tastier than the previous one! It was on the expensive side, but for a once-in-a-while experience, it was more than worth it! I have not had lebanese food before and I really loved what I received here! The servers were very friendly and understandable when we decided to wait for everyone to arrive before we ordered, and they also offered us free desserts and fruit! It was an exceptional evening, thank you!

Google
One of the places where you can get halal meat (I think he told us the chicken and meat are halal but the beef isn't) which was nice of him to tell us upfront. Good traditional Lebanese food. Though the service was a bit slow (or maybe we were in a hurry!) but the food was good. Considering we saw at least 4 food delivery riders come in during our meal, I'd say it's a popular place!

Yelp
This restaurant features a remarkable meza collection (many little dishes) as well as a complete menu, including a Lebanese wine assortment. The baklava is also amazing. A few things to note: if you do order the meza for the number of people at the table, don't bother ordering anything else (the manager suggests extras but it really is too much). Also they have belly dancing on the weekends. If you prefer your own conversation get there at 6:00pm or go for lunch. Finally this place is excellent for groups of 10 where you can book a private tent upstairs! Reservations for dinner are highly recommended.

Yelp
Sad to say after my review The owner contacted me on my reservation with this angry or rude message " Sie passen nicht im meinem restrant " meaning I don't belong to their restaurant, apparently. I hope they their management decide to make changes and improve their service instead of wasting their energy with angry messages to customers. Overall it is overpriced for quality and service. In my reservation I specifically asked for a corner table that is more quiet. We got a table in the middle which servers kept bumping into us. It was very crowded and when I asked the staff to make an exception for us to seat in tent they either ignored or didn't answer me correctly. We enjoyed the food and the live belly dance and one of the servers were nice when they barely had time.

Yelp
You have to have the artichoke it's amazing and the Greek salad is yummy but I ate it without taking the picture. Here is the chicken skewers and chicken sandwich.

Yelp
We celebrated our 5th anniversary by having dinner at this restaurant. After reading it's reviews online and hearing what people had to say about the food, I knew we had to try it! We made reservations in advance via email and had to change the timings twice and found the staff to be very accommodating. Upon arriving, we found the restaurant to be packed to the brim but we did not have to wait bc of our reservations. We were seated where all the other Muslim tourists were seated with families. It was rather hard to get the attention of our server, he wasn't too pleasant. The food on the other hand was absolutely delicious. The Baba ganoush was truly one of the best I've had. The meat melted in my mouth, I was able to taste the different flavors. The salad was also refreshing. The restaurant itself was beautiful with middle eastern decor and had a warm vibe to it. Even though the service was not the best here, I'd highly recommend it as the food was divine.

Yelp
Excellent Lebanese food. Service is good. I will definitely come again. The Mezzah plate is great. My experience was lunch and it was quick and satisfying.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely amazing. The best Middle Eastern and specifically Lebanese in Zürich for me. It's very consistent at this location and with the other location as well. The ambience at this location is much more cozy and old world than the other location. The hummus with beef is amazing, the cheese stuffed pastry is devine. All of the mezzes I've had at Le Cedre are downright stellar. The service sucks though, hence the 3 stars. The only reason I come back is for the food.

Yelp
This is probably the best place for Lebanese food in Zürich. My third visit and we always book in advance to avoid disappointment. Love the falafel, baba ghanouj and meat! Meat - Grilled to perfection especially the beef and lamb. The 7 mezze for two is about chf 89 and it comes with a basket of pita bread. It is quite a lot of food if you are not a big eater. Red wine is good, we ordered local "Lebanese" syrah which is about 7.50 per glass. If you fancy beer, try Alma! I have tried that beer when I was in Beirut, love it. There is always a surprise belly dancer during dinner and of course she does expect a tip if you are entertained by her dance move. Ambience is good and beautifully decorated. There are two El Cedre restaurants in Zurich and both places serve well, only the one in badenerstrasse has limited space but cozy! So far can't find fault in anything, maybe just the price but have to accept it as it is Swiss standard :) enjoy!

Yelp
Best Lebanese restaurant you'll find. Family owned and not stingy with the food. Very fresh and authentic.

Yelp
Worst service ever. We finally just got up and walked to register to pay bill. They ignored our request the two times we asked for it. Won't go back. Food isn't that great and my homemade hummus is better (not to mention cheaper).

Yelp
The worst service on the planet 40 minutes to get any service With one occupied table in the Restaurant on a Sunday because the Waiter is busy chatting with his friends

Yelp
Had a dinner here, long waiting time and rude staff, I do not recommend it at all. Not a place to enjoy an evening.

Yelp
Awesome Halal Labenese food. We got wraps which were reasonably priced and very delicious. Enivroment was great, altough would be better if they have more space outside in summers.

Yelp
Really great food and excellent service. There is a huge selection of mezes and dishes, the kofta is awesome, highly recommended, best middle eastern place I've been in Zurich, just be prepared to pay Zurich prices.

Yelp
We go there quite often with office colleagues and take the mezzeh with some meat as supplement. I like it a lot, this is - i think - the only lebanese restaurant in zurich. I only give 3 stars because i had better food in other libanese restaurant but in france.

Qype User (murmel…)

Yelp
this was once the leading lebanese restaurant in zurich. over time, the portions have shrunk, service has gotten worse and the belly dancing is just obnoxious. people probably go back because there is much choice of you want a proper humous etc. considering that the ingredients for most of this stuff costs pennies, they must be making a fortune. it shows. cedre is passed its use by date.

Yelp
lovely but if you order elmer citro you get sprite
