Restaurant Le Lyrique

I've read a number of very negative reviews but have never in more than 20 years experienced anything like what these reviews indicate. The service has always, and I mean always, been most accommodating and pleasant, the orders are taken quickly and the food also served quickly as is befitting people trying to get to the Victoria Hall concert hall or opera house on time for a performance. I've never had any trouble being served delicious dishes after a concert. I remember the restaurant's magnificent dinner preparations for one of the intermissions during an endless Wagner opera where all of the pre-ordered food was waiting for us with every single dish under a metal lid to stay warm - a much better alternative to dining in the basement of the opera house which was then buffet self-serve style with the line taking so long that the bell to regain your seat sounds practically when you finally get through the buffet and you have to abandon your plate to get back in time. The Lyrique is a great restaurant serving well a number of needs for concert and opera-goers. Don't be put off by any of the negative reviews.

Summer or Winter, this is a fine lunch and dinner spot, with lots of atmosphere in the Brasserie and a more formal allure in the restaurant. Food is exquisite and service always impeccable.

We had our Statutory Congress networking dinner at Le Lyrique on 2 September 2025. Preparations went smoothly, the restaurant was able to take care of all the dietary restrictions we received from the participants. The feedback received from the dinner attendees was excellent, they all had an enjoyable and relaxed evening with the apéro served on the terrace, a lovely three-course meal and drinks at the restaurant. 70 participants and no negative remark! Casual upscale restaurant Great meat place Great service

Very cute bistro! The restaurant has a classic and trendy vibe. It is right next to the Opera so you get crowds before and after shows. The food was very good and the desserts even better. We tried two and they were both excellent, particularly the tiramisu! There is an outside area for drinks. The service was a bit chaotic though.

2nd time food good but Management sure didn’t help server… 15 tables on his own. Great restaurant at lunch with all the Swiss Bankers & locals. The evening caters to the group going to the Theater.

Went for dinner last night. Le Lyrique is one of these typical Geneva restaurants. It serves French food. The quality is constant, not at all exotic and not very creative, but always good, never exceptional. Yesterday we had the evening suggestion, which was fish with prawns, vegetable, rice. It was good, very well served. It 's a pitty it can't attract more people in the evenings, because at lunch time it's always fully booked. I will certainly recommend this restaurant.

We were lucky to happen along this place during our wanderings in Geneva. This brasserie definitely hit the spot for our lunch needs. The food was well prepared. The staff was friendly but attentive. The decor was really lovely as we were seated at a nice table in this grand room, right by a window. We also really enjoyed the decor and the local lunch scene vibe.
