Restaurant le Saint Jean

Best Restaurant this trip! I fell in love immediately when I saw their cute and elegant, cosy terrace next to the church - sort of like a secret bar. But the food is also great: firstly, there is a fixed menu (30 euro for starter-main-dessert), and alltogether (the serving, the choice, the meat) - was superb!

First of all the rating: 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ But please multiply them by 2! It’s incredibly good, tasty and nice. The courtyard invites you to stay for a while and the menus they offer are really yummy. Nice service as well!

Be careful! The setting of this place is beautiful, near the old church. The food is average, ingredients are fresh but the cooking is not worth the price. The worst though is the service. The waiter (man) is just plain rude. We ordered three dishes, one for our son where we asked for a small modification to the waitress. After the order I went to the bathroom where I heard the waiter (maybe owner) yell at the waitress for offering such modification... Then we waited exactly 55 minutes to get our food. And we were not the only ones. We witnessed many other people looking around waiting for their food. At the end of lunch, I told the waiter that we had to wait for 55 minutes, and would appreciate a commercial gesture. He took 4€ off our bill so a little less than 10%. So bad service, rude attitude, and average food. Only the setting of this place is worth it... Although not worth almost the hour wait. I do not recommend this place at all.

What a fabulous find. We stumbled across this restaurant after our intended location was booked. Absolutely charming proprietor, delious food, superb wine, and all in all a wonderful experience.

Horrible, awful behavior. They are really really slow and rude. The food, nothing special and expensive.

Cadre exceptionnel et très romantique dans la cour attenant à la belle cathédrale st Jean. L'accueil est exceptionnel et le patron prévenant et soucieux de ses hôtes. Le vin y est bon et servi de manière généreuse... Les mets sont tous de qualité mais la cuisine, quoique fort bonne n'est pas élevée au rang de l'inoubliable, il y manque ce "je ne sais quoi qui fait que l'on se pâme". Chaque produit est bien choisi mais pas de mariage de saveurs ou de textures audacieux. Cela reste toutefois un restaurant où nous aurons grand plaisir à retourner.

Nous sommes allés dîner en famille dans ce restaurant qui se prêtait parfaitement à l’occasion. Les plats sont bons, raffinés et frais. Le service est fort sympathique. Un petit moins sur la taille des plats un peu trop petite

very nice, quiet, stylish. friendly. i like. i started with a nice salade d'accras de morue (with awesome perles de pimenton). it was followed by a gibelotte de lapin noir with polenta cremeuse. perfect! i enjoyed their wine from own vinejard (cotes du roussillon). just like dishes: excellent! worth a visit! wear a shirt and nice shoes, this is a french restaurant, after all.
