This is a georgous setting under a big tree with a fabulous view.
We had a lovely meal, The prawn risotto was delicious. and everything was excellent except my main course.
There was a 20 min delay with our mains, the kitchen is small so that happens. However my duck I think sat under the heat lamp for all of that delay, it was dry and tasteless, the waiter shrugged when I said it.

Wonderful lunch experience at Le Tilleul !
Despite the day being very busy, we were warmly welcomed by all people passing by us waiting for a table.
Service was attentive and friendly, thank you Lamberto !
Food was really good too, very local and tasty.
Will definitely go back!

First of all, the interior design is lovely. When you step in the restaurant it feels like you are welcome there. The food is very delicious and the service is good too. They have some gluten free options too. I 100% recommend trying it out!

A restaurant with a racist attitude. The waiter who served our table clearly treated us differently from other guests—and in the end, we were still expected to pay a service fee for that kind of treatment!
After back to my country, I contacted the restaurant's manager to express my frustration and concern. But apart from polished wording, there was no real apology or sincerity. If the discriminatory behavior had only come from one staff member, the way management responded has unfortunately shown that the issue reflects the restaurant’s overall values.
I honestly don’t understand how, in the 2020s—in a place like Saint-Paul-de-Vence, known for its artistic spirit and progressive atmosphere—a restaurant this blatantly exclusionary still exists. What exactly is its reputation built on, and how has it survived this long?
After reading more reviews, I realized it’s not just about race—they treat non-French-speaking customers with the same level of rudeness and contempt. I consider myself a respectful and reasonable person, but I’ve thought about this for a long time, and I’m still deeply angry.

Everything was incredibly delicious – probably the best restaurant we’ve been to in the Côte d’Azur! 😊
It would have been even more amazing if the waitstaff had been a bit more attentive

The prawn risotto was delicious and the place is really cute! It's a shame that the staff wasn't all welcoming & kind - both young ladies we interacted with to get a table were not friendly.

Amazing food, amazing city!!! The summer truffle pizza from the Salon menu is a must - not sure if they serve it during all day or only during noon.

Unfortunately, our recent visit was very disappointing. We never really come here for the food, but for the chance to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view, especially on a perfect summer evening.
We made a reservation and were required to provide a credit card to secure our table and be charged if we dont show up. However, upon arrival, we were told we could only be seated inside. No effort was made to accommodate us outdoors, and we were informed that an outdoor table was never guaranteed. It felt like a bait-and-switch: take our card first, then leave us with no option but to dine inside — despite the gorgeous weather.
As mentioned, the draw has always been the atmosphere more than the menu. That said, the food had never been bad — just average. But this time, even that fell short. I ordered the salmon, which was so small it could have passed for a child’s portion — and I’m not even a big eater.
All in all, it was an unfortunate and underwhelming evening. Without the outdoor experience, there's not much reason to return.
