We had a lovely evening dining at Les Labours Restaurant. The ingredients were fresh and local if not from the property. We had the Table D’hôte which started with house made potato chips and creme fresh. The amuse was a well seasoned gazpacho. Starters were a trio of foie gras, and a fried mushrooms in a cream sauce. Our main was pistachio crusted lamb. All delicious, but the desserts were stand outs. Unsweetened chocolate mousse foam with sweet and crunchy ad ins. OUTSTANDING was the Honey & Cheese plate. A small layer of blue cheese cream, topped with a thick honey cream foam all on top of a Madeline biscuit. Sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds and decorated with sesame tuiles. Sweet, salty, with just the slightest amount of funk to make this perfectly balanced dish interesting. I recommend Les Labours.

We did brunch here, this restaurant is located in hotel Le Germain. Brunch was tasty with many/ variety to choose from. The service was amazing; friendly and professional.

Wonderful experience. Especially recommend the ceviche if its on the menu and the mushroom dish. The pigeonette was excellent as well. A teeny bit of salt missing on the beef according to my preference.

Great service, great food and good ambiance. Could not ask more from a Charlevoix restaurant. Farm-to-table food done right!

A terrific restaurant nested in a very unique facility, the famous Hotel & Spa Le Germain Charlevoix. The place was bursting with positive energy and the experience was terrific, from beginning to end. The service was pleasant, a true local experience, and the food quality is really what makes this venue unique. We tried the carpaccio, the tartelette, foie gras, and the cod and beef as main courses. When going to Charlevoix, do not miss out and add Les Labours to your place to visit!

The food was excellent and the ambiance was nice if it wasn’t for the slowest service I have had in my life.. 20 min before getting some water .. the appetizer and main dish arrived in a reasonable time.. but 30 min before getting the desert.. the waiter apologized and said they were understaffed.. but only at the end when we complained.. Too bad.. the restaurant has great potentials.. but not worth the frustration…

The restaurant was not particularly busy but we were waiting 20 minutes after we were seated before we were asked for our drinks order. Also on arrival & waiting to be seated, 2 people acknowledged us & said they would bring a menu but did not come back. In fairness the waiter deducted the cost of our first drinks without our asking.

The food was excellent, but I must say that the service and overall experience was not nearly as pleasant as the rest of the hotel. It was rushed, loud, and we were not treated with very friendly service (unlike everyone else and everywhere else at the hotel which was all 5/5). Maybe this was just a bad day, but it was not a relaxing experience for us. Dismissive seating by the host, tables not cleared, coffee poured recklessly and spilling over the table...it was just not great and really impacted our day. Also, I was not impressed that the staff from the other restaurant were "seconded" to Les Labours for dinner to service bus tour guests even though Les Labour was closed to other hotel guests. This means that the hotel was prioritizing the bus tours who had exclusive use of Les Labours for dinner, while normal hotel guests had only the other restaurant (Le Bercail) which was understaffed as a result. The rest of the hotel is amazing but Les Labours needs someone to think through the service and how it can align with the hotel standards.

Yelp
Good selection offered at their buffet breakfast. Private menu was to die for! Easily the best gourmet meal of my life. Very decently priced. Good service. Beautiful restaurant.

Yelp
Les labours is a restaurant that promises delicious first-class cuisine in a stunning restaurant, but ends up falling flat. While all dishes were edible, the best part of the meal was the bread (from an outside bakery). Portions were small but expensive and didn't stun in terms of presentation, technique, or flavour. Best off to try another restaurant in baie st paul.
