We spent a delicious and delightful afternoon enjoying afternoon tea with our family to celebrate a birthday. The interior was elegant, albeit a bit too minimalistic, but we appreciated the calm and unhurried atmosphere—no loud background music or unnecessary noise.
Our large, round table at the back of the room provided a sense of privacy and allowed us to engage with the entire group equally.
The selection of treats was perfectly portioned—not too overwhelming, but a well-thought-out combination of carefully selected flavors, beautifully presented. The vegan option was also thoughtfully designed and delicious, which is still not always a given.
The only minor downside was the vegan scone, which was quite hard and did not match the high quality of the other dishes. It was suspected to be both vegan and gluten-free, which wasn’t necessary. The other scones were also served cold instead of freshly baked and warm, but they were still tasty. For these reasons, four stars instead of five!
Service was elegant and discreet, and the birthday celebrant was acknowledged with a small chocolate praline gift—a lovely touch.
Each of us sampled several types of tea, and having recently experienced tea ceremonies and tastings in China, I especially appreciated the carefully curated and refined tea selection.
Overall, it was a wonderful and delicious afternoon! I highly recommend it to afternoon tea lovers—a perfect way to spend a cozy and relaxing Saturday.
