Ordered the cheese souffle and skewer to start both of which were yummy. Bread to start was nice too but did come late. For mains we both ordered the lamb which was delicious Ordered the chocolate marquis and mixed dessert to finish and both were lovely. Had a lovely evening and had great service. Atmosphere ideal and not too noisy. Would happily return.

I went here for a birthday dinner with a friend. The food was delicious and the service was great. The place looks beautiful with so much attention to detail. It was really well priced - for $65 each we got a starter, two mains, a dessert, and two drinks. Highly recommend if you want something upmarket, classy, elegant, and a bit special.

Lola Restaurant is simply amazing! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a beautifully designed space that feels warm and inviting. The attention to detail in the décor is stunning and creates the perfect ambiance for a memorable dining experience. The food is exceptional—each dish is crafted with care and bursts with flavour. I had 3 course Dinner - Lobster Roll,Braised Lamb and Caramel Marquis , everything tastes fresh and delicious. You can tell that quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation are priorities here. The service is equally impressive. The staff are attentive, friendly, and go above and beyond to make sure you’re well taken care of throughout your meal. It’s clear that they genuinely care about providing a top-notch experience. Highly recommend Lola if you’re looking for a restaurant that combines beautiful ambiance, amazing food, and outstanding service. Can’t wait to return with Family 😊

We had not the greatest expectations when we entered Lola giving our experiences with town restaurants in Vic and the fact that it "only" appeared in place 15 on our google search. WHOW where we surprised. The service was very good and the food absolutely outstanding. We had the twice backed Gruyere souffle and the seafood linguine followed by a mango and passionfruit sorbet. All done to perfection.

I recently spent the day in Ballarat with visitors from Canada. After a visit to the art gallery we walked down and had lunch here. All our meals were outstanding and extremely well priced, given the quality of the dishes. A two course meal with a glass of choice of beer, wine or soft drink was $59 each. The service was friendly and helpful. I will definitely return when I’m Ballarat next. My Canadian friends were equally impressed. I didn’t get great photos of our dishes, but they were presented beautifully as well as tasting delicious.

I brought my Dad here for his belated birthday on our holiday to Ballarat, and we both had a truly wonderful experience. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, and the food was spectacular - seasoned and cooked perfectly. The portion sizes are very generous as well. Additionally, very impressed that they notified us several hours before the booking about a weather related change in dining plans. Also worth mentioning that the restaurant is very accessible. Dad is visually impaired and it was bright, well-spaced and easy to navigate.

5 Stars – An Absolute Gem in Ballarat! Stopping in Ballarat for an event turned into an unforgettable culinary adventure, thanks to Lola! A friend's enthusiastic recommendation led me here, and wow, am I glad I listened. First, the location is perfect—right across from the train station. The ambience? Warm, inviting, and oh-so-charming. The service? Absolutely fabulous. But the food? Oh boy, the food gets an A+++ from me! Entree: Char-grilled surf and turf skewers. Think tiger prawns, yellow fin tuna, black Angus scotch fillet, and more, drizzled with burnt pomegranate jus and pineapple marmalade. It was like a party in my mouth! Main: Hopkins River Black scotch fillet. Tender, flavourful, and paired with herb mustard pressed potatoes and dressed leaves. Divine! Dessert: Vanilla bean panna cotta with mixed berry compote. Silky smooth, light, and the perfect ending to a spectacular meal. The meals were beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and seasoned like a chef’s kiss. The prices didn’t break the bank, and to top it off, my meal came with a glass of house wine included. What a delightful surprise! Huge shout out to the amazing gentleman who served me and an even bigger compliment to the chef. You guys are rock stars! Lola deserves to be on every Ballarat visitor’s itinerary. PS: Watch out, Lola—I’ll definitely be back for more!

Me and my friends absolutely enjoyed the night out at Lola for my birthday dinner. Fantastic service, great food, quiet ambiance, elegant decor. For all these good qualities with a fair price point. They charged extra for cutting the birthday cake but man it was worth every penny. They cut the right portion for each of us,even garnished the cake and make it look like a proper dessert! They deserve 5 stars, big thumbs up for the team.
