"Cheap Tacos in the Mile End This newcomer to the Montreal restaurant scene has nothing to envy of others. With chefs like David Schmidt, William Cody, and Gil Macnutt, diners are in good hands. The menu is a mix of tacos and other Latin-inspired fare, most of which are gluten-free or vegetarian, but also, and most importantly, quite cheap. Tacos range between $3 and $4.50. And they only buy from the best local, organic, and sustainable producers. Sounds heavenly, no? Quality food for a fraction of the price. And the creations are surprising and original. A must try!"

First time going there, we had a reservation and they gave us the room at the back with our own waiter. The food was great... Because my brothers and I ended up eating way too much! The room was nice and cozy, good ambiance music too. Antoine our assigned waiter gave us a great service and was very friendly. If you like Mexican food I would definitely recommend this place!

Nice to spend with friends. Menu is not cheap. But the tacos are delicious. The cocktails are creative and strong. The place is communal but i don't like the chairs.

Maïs is our go to spot for delicious tacos in the Mile End. The restaurant decor is cute, the menu has various options to suit everyone's preference, the tacos are good and filling and the service is very friendly and fast. I usually have the guacamole/chips + a starter (this time we took the beef tartare) + a taco (usually fish taco it's so good) and I it's just enough for me. They also have a nice drink menu.

Mexican-ish restaurant. If you're looking for Mexican food, this might not be the place for you. If you don't particularly care for Mexican food and you're looking for a place that serves regular food on tacos shells and coriander garnish to feel a Mexican-ish vibe, this might be the place for you. The stars are for the ambiance and cocktails. Good vegetarian options on the menu. Communal tables. Service was oddly apathetic.

It was a good experience, the food and service was great. We actually booked a private room as we were 14 friends. The ambience was very soothing and music too was very relaxing.

This is not your typical Mexican taco joint. Great atmosphere and decor. The menu offers a more upscale/gourmet twist to their tacos. If you want to try new delicious flavours in your tacos, this is definitely the place for you! (and enjoy one of their amazing cocktails while you're at it!)

We tried all 6 tacos and each were delicious. From the seasoning to the cook of filling everything was on point. Love the guacamole and chips too! Great beer and staff is friendly and quick. Will definitely be returning.
