Mamouche is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam.
Over the years, the quality of food and service has stayed up, unlike many other places in the area. It is great for a dinner with friends, lovers and parents alike. Though the place gets labelled as Moroccan, the dishes (as well as staff) are from allover the Maghreb region. So, I would describe it as elevated Maghreb cuisine.
You can chose from a plethora of starters and mains. I highly recommend the liver, as well as the oven scallops.
They also serve a dish of the day. During my last visit, it was a lamb shank and it was crazy delicious!
Also, you can go for the Chef's 3 course menu. The chef makes dishes of his choice, which can also differ across tables on the same evening....Which I thought was quite fun :D
Feeling adventurous, I went for it, and I was absolutely not disappointed. I had an amazing fish tajine, and the desert was a creme brûlée, so I was happy.
As for the wine, while they did not have the rose they have on their menu, they had a great substitute, also from the South of France. So I was very pleased.
