Great service. Awesome view. Food was okay, because it didn't meet my expectations. We ordered lamb, veal, eggplant appetizer and poached pears for dessert. Although the service was impeccable, the food was not impressive. Veal chunks were dry, lamb was tender but lacked flavor, eggplants were soaking in oil and poached pears were too sweet. I really wanted the food to hit all my taste buds but, alas, the experience was one and done.

We ate one dinner and lunch at this restaurant during our short stay. Friendly staff, especially the charming lady on our first night who convinced us to try their cooked dishes only to run out, but offering us a bit of stewed cabbage anyway so that we could have a taste of their cooking. Nice view of Meteora as you sat in the terrace.

Large covered out door area just off the side of the road with view to the fountain and the rock face. Nice and airy out of the sun and plenty seats inside as well. Food was fresh and tasty all round. Had the veal, lamb, moussaka, baked feta, greek salad.

Loved this place! The moussaka was DELICIOUS! Great atmosphere with very friendly staff. Very centrally located. We sat outside, but after went inside, and wished we had sat in there as the decor was great.

Traditional Greek cuisine in an old fashioned style restaurant. Service is helpful, can speak in various languages and very efficient. The dishes are very tasteful and well served. Beware of the size of the dishes ! 😍 I recommend without hesitation!

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we felt welcome. They were also very accommodating, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The ambience was perfect—relaxed and inviting, a great place to unwind. As for the food, it was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. My husband, who rarely finishes his plate, devoured his chicken dish, which says a lot! I had the lamb, and it was beautifully tender and full of flavor. Also the poached pear was to die for. Overall, a fantastic experience, and would recommend this place for dinner if you ever stop by.

Amazing service, when we ordered we said we didn’t have much time. We were served in 3 minutes. Fantastic food with great ingredients and nicely cooked. Definitely highly recommended restaurant!

I recently dined at Restaurant Meteora Gkertsou Family, a fourth-generation family restaurant, and had a mixed experience with the food. Here's a breakdown of what we ordered: Meteora Salad This salad, made with rocket, spinach, iceberg lettuce, toasted sesame seeds, cranberries, seasonal fruits, and pomegranate with homemade dressing, was very refreshing. The fragrance of the sesame seeds added a lovely touch. Beetroot Salad The beetroot salad was very sweet, and I loved the beetroot juice. It was a simple yet satisfying dish. Veal with Onions Stew with Rice The onions in this dish were very sweet, but the veal meat was a bit tough. It was an okay dish but could have been better. Lamb with Potatoes and Rice The lamb meat was soft but lacked the distinct lamb flavor I was expecting. It was decent but not outstanding. Stew Pork Shank with Dark Sauce The pork shank was soft, and the portion was generous. It was a hearty and filling dish. Overall, the food at Restaurant Meteora Gkertsou Family was average. However, the service was good, which added to the dining experience.
