Restaurant Mimolet

Spectacular lunch. We chose a 5 course testing menu. Everything was really good, except the artichoke (a bit cardboard like taste, perhaps not in season yet?). Everything was beautifully presented and in sufficient quantities. Very pleasant ambience and great service too. No hesitation to recommend.

This was the best meal we had in Girona - just super quality - highly recommend the pickled oyster and any of the rice dishes. Wine was also incredible as you'd expect but the red by the glass was the best local wine I had!

Amazing restaurant with great service, delicious and nicely presented food, great selection of local wines. We had the 5-course tasting menu and it was a fantastic experience. Their cocktails are impressive, for both the visual and the taste aspects. Highly recommended.

1. Food. Beautiful presentation and high quality ingredients. Most of the dishes were delicious. Prawns ceviche was tasty. My favorite dish was squid tagliatelle with onion soup, it was incredible. I wasn’t impressed with tuna tataki, I felt like tuna was frozen before, i might be wrong , I didn’t like combination of Japanese fish broth and tomatoes. Lamb was extremely tender, melting in mouth, tasty creamy cheese, but for me this dish was a bit heavy and fatty. Absolutely delicious sheep cheesecake, loved the texture. 2. Service is polite and friendly, although there is a room for improvement. We didn’t enjoy when waiter picked up my husband’s plate and made fun of how clean the plate is and we felt like it was inappropriate, waiter made us feel uncomfortable. My husband ordered wine, but waiter didn’t ask if I want one and started pouring, may be I’m pregnant and I want only water, I was expecting that he will ask me first. Besides those things service was quick, dishes were served with a small time gap, every dish had a small presentation. 3. Space. It’s cozy inside, beautiful interior, nice warm light. Although our table was moving all the time, it was unstable, furniture might need some fixing. When we were leaving there was absolutely no staff in a dining area. We got dressed, but there was no one to say good bye to. We stayed for few minutes and just left since no one showed up. I would eat here again and try other dishes

Fantastic service, very knowledgeable and professional team. However we had the tasting menu, the flavours of the dishes of which were sadly lacking. Atmosphere was rock bottom, the management needs to work on improving the ambience and lighting

Lovely restaurant with very interesting dishes. It was relatively quiet but I can imagine that on a busy night the atmosphere is more buzzy Would have been 5 stars for service if perhaps we had the same server all evening and felt a bit forgotten once we'd had our dessert. The food was delicious and not over priced.

We came across this restaurant as it was next to our Airbnb. It's very fine dining, and high quality food. For 52 euros, we got a 5 course meal for which we got plenty of choice. The service was top notch and the personnel very friendly and accessible.

The service was excellent, and the food was spot on. A nice balance of innovation and delicious, pleasing food. We also received several small additional tasty bites gratis.

We had the tasting menu dinner for 35 Euros. Great service. 3.5 stars for food. 4 stars for value. Started with cod cannelloni which was eggplant+anchovies paste wrapped inside a thin slice of cod. The anchovies were a bit salty. This followed by pumpkin soup with mackerel and aji. Nice presentation. Flavor of soup was okay. Next was a Garrotxa - which was essentially a white bean hummus with small crackers, rolled slices of beetroot. Since I do not eat meat, this was a replacement I requested. Both presentation and taste were good. The Main entree was sea bass. It was pretty good. Dessert was chestnut brownie with chocolate ice cream and chocolate mousse. The chestnut mousse was great. Great coffee. Strong. Overall a good experience.

Contemporary space with excellent service. Several tasting menus and a la carte. Lots of options. Perfectly quaint on a rainy day. Step back and forward in time for an experience second to none in España.

After checking in at our hotels we were looking for someplace close because we were starving. Mimolet had good reviews and was very close to one hotel and a short walk from the other so we decided to give it a try. Glad we did. It's tastefully decorated in modern style and our server was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Still, the food was the real star of the evening, as it should be. While portions are by no means huge with the tasting menu, which is what we selected, they never are with tasting menus and prices were not huge either. Their wine list had really good offerings at reasonable prices as well. All together it was a great dinner that exceeded expectations. .

I did the set menu where you choose different courses, which was nice. Food taste good, along with my cocktail. Service wasn't too terrible... only reason I'm saying that is because my friends beer took forever to come to the table. I had to remind the waiter about it. Prices were decent. Good experience overall.

My boyfriend and I absolutely LOVED our tasting menu here. We are newbies to the world of gastronomy, so take my review with a grain of salt. The tasting menu was an excellent value at 35 euros a person! We couldn't believe it. We also opted for additional cocktails that only added 5 more euros to each cost. We were lost for words most of the time, but please believe me when I say the food is truly excellent. All of the meat and fish are seasoned perfectly. Our favorite part (albeit random) was the gyoza dumplings served at the beginning. We could have been happy eating those all night! The only food I wasn't impressed with was dessert, but I think I did it to myself as I ordered something with non-fat greek yogurt which I'm not a fan of. If you're an ultimate foodie, perhaps this place won't completely blow you away. BUT for the value of the meal, I think it is an excellent place for a low-cost tasting menu experience.
