Restaurant Oluf Bagers Gaard

A wonderful experience of traditional Danish cuisine right in the heart of Odense, just a short walk from Hans Christian Andersen’s House. The dishes were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, each plate showing real attention to detail. The local beer was excellent and paired perfectly with the food. The restaurant is divided into two sections, one more elegant and one more casual. We sat in the less formal area, which still offered a warm and pleasant setting. The atmosphere overall is relaxed and welcoming, with a charming historical feel that makes the meal even more special. The only note for me was the apple pie, which was a little too sweet for my taste, though still well-prepared. Compliments to the chef for a memorable dining experience – highly recommended!

Love the old & new vibes in this old 1772 rustic stable restaurant. We had the 9 course set menu which was a great social experience pair from champagne, white & red wine. The food was good & I especially love the main which the beef & chicken cooked perfectly 👍 The service was friendly and the guy who explained the menu in English for me was superb & appreciated. 😊 I definitely recommended this place for a perfect place to catch up with friends, family & love one. Came here for dinner with a larger group. Ordered the 9 course meal with wine pairing. Overall the food was good but was always served in one or two plates and had to share which isn't so good when you go with a larger uneven group. People would be short or take to much. Dessert Pana cotta came in a small bowl which we had to scoop out and share between people? Other than that was a very enjoyable meal and worth going if in town.

Very special restaurant! Worth a visit

By chance we found this small restaurant and its well-composed 9-course menu with a wine buffet. Very well-prepared and tasty dishes based on fresh ingredients and homemade bread. A winning concept in a cozy environment. Perfect service!

Such a cozy and inviting place! The wait staff were so wonderful they even let us try some options before we decided. My friend got the raw beef sandwich and it was quite good according to her. Not a spot for vegans as all options had animals product. I would love to see a gormet veggie sandwich!

If you're into amazing food in small portions. This is it! I've been here twice and both time have been an absolute success. Highly recommended

Great place, great location and wonderfull food. Prices range from 130-170 for a big meal for lunch.

One of the great evenings in town. Fine food at a good price for 9 courses. Cheerful and knowledgeable staff. Charming evening. Menus changes monthly so I can't go as often as I would like.
