Restaurant Orphée

An authentic French brasserie located in the heart of Regensburg is kinda surprising but a welcome one. The food here is solid and classics like escargots, beef bourguignon and bouillabaisse are well executed and the you setting is also warm and comfortable. Prices are certainly on the higher end for the quality but it’s not bad for a once in a while visit

The Boeuf Bourguignon was delicious! The salad was good as well but had too much dressing. A bit pricy but worth it. The staff were nice and the food came very quickly. A great place to sit outside on a nice evening.

This a beautiful place, well set-up like a Parisian café. You can even seat outside and people watch like the French do. Food is good. I tried the crepe and desert. The service is just ok, but when you call yourself a French restaurant, and look upscale, people will expect more. It could be because I screamed tourist, and they know I would likely not be back, but hey, here I am writing a review. Some don't get we live in different times.

Food taste not too bad. It can be better with these price range. Wine taste good but wine glass is not suitable.

My favourite restaurant in Regensburg. Really nice decor, cosy, everybody nice and friendly. You can feel like you are at home. You can stay here hours, enjoy the food, drinks and the atmosphere, nobody rushing you to leave. I almost tried everything on the menu... For breakfast i recommend the deluxe, marseille and italian breakfast or pancakes. Really delicious and tasty. In the evening or night this is the perfect place to drink or meet with people. I recommend to check out the winecard. You must try: pate de campagne, deux-fois-mousse, tartare d'Orphée, steak, entrecote mit sauce Béarnaise, and fromage de Brebis Corse... And dont forget to make reservation or you can just go and wait for a table, its worth it ;)

Exceptional food, everything we tried was top notch. Feels genuinely french. The dishes were somewhat small by German standards, but perfectly reasonable anywhere else. Not cheap, but the price is perfectly justified.

Amazing service amazing food. We did not have reservation. They got us a table and from then on it was such a wonderful dinner the Coco Vin was fantastic! Make it a stop in Regansburg!

Fish soup was really nice. Ratatouille was too heavy on tomatos and somewhat bland. Wine was still fermenting (actually quite refreshing but not exactly what we expected from a red wine). Place has a French feel (except for the guests in Lederhosen and Dirndl).

Amazing place to go! The ambiance is very good, it feels like you are actually in France. The food is amazing, we had escargots, steak tartare and bouillabaisse and it was all delicious. Very friendly service and we had some live music from street artists. Perfect place for a datenignt!

What a beautiful place! It's like a little piece of Paris in Regensburg! The food is great and the people are very, very nice. Always smiling and being helpful. Don't know about the hotel though, but this is definitely a place to visit.

Had brunch here and it was pretty good. Service was a little slow and a bit pricey. Great hot chocolate

Actually the food is delicious, but the service is - even for German standards - way below friendly. If you want to enjoy a good, expensive meal with horrible service, you found yourself the place to go.

We ate here on our last night in Germany and it was amazing. The service was on point and very accommodating to English speaking patrons. The food! The wine! Everything about this place was perfect. We had coffee on the patio after our meal. If you're looking for a romantic and down right delicious meal in Regensburg, look no further.

When we wanted to reserve a table for breakfast last Saturday we were told that they do not take reservations on weekends. So we went there without reservation. When we entered the restaurant a table got free. We sat down happily. After a while I detected a sign "reserved from 11 a.m." We asked a waiter how this can be. He said that it's for regular customers. Then we complained at the counter again. No manager was available. Then we were told that the reservation is for hotel guests' breakfast. In Germany you get breakfast in hotels from 7 to 10 (maximum 11a.m.). We said this and that we would consider not coming back. Then the woman at the counter said that we need not come back again.
