Restaurant Orphée

I can’t believe this place isn’t packed with people! Just outside the tourist zone Orphee is a treat for the senses. This quaint restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere in a quiet district with exceptional food. Even better it is set up somewhat family style with share plates. A fusion of fresh ingredients with some Japanese flavors and French tradition. And the wine choice is perfect. It’s a must do in Paris! Our server was an absolute joy and we let him choose all our dishes and he didn’t disappoint. Don’t miss this treat !

Délicieux ! Merci ! We spent a wonderful evening. We felt like in a Bistrot in Paris - except for the language, though 😉 The waitress was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. We had Coq au vin, boeuf Bourguignon, and a tasty, juicy entrecôte - 3 classiques de la cuisine française - all 3 dishes were delicious! Unfortunately, you don't often get coq au vin and bœuf bourguignon this good anymore even in France... The wine selection is good too.

An authentic French brasserie located in the heart of Regensburg is kinda surprising but a welcome one. The food here is solid and classics like escargots, beef bourguignon and bouillabaisse are well executed and the you setting is also warm and comfortable. Prices are certainly on the higher end for the quality but it’s not bad for a once in a while visit

As a Frenchwoman who grew up in Paris, I was delighted to find this little piece of France in the lovely city of Regensburg. The atmosphere truly feels like Paris in the 1940s/50s. They even have French newspapers (such as Le Canard Enchaîné), and both the coffee and croissants are really good. It’s the perfect spot for breakfast, and I can’t wait to come back to Regensburg to try their lunch formula !

Excellent, we tried the onion soup, the cheeses, the vegetarian and beef options. The food is (a bit) pricier but totally worth it and the service was very nice also. What makes this places special is the atmosphere, it feels just like a bistro in France. 100% recommended!

Expected something better, the vibe wasn't very friendly. The food was okay, but not amazing. The creme brulee though, was great. The chairs were old-fashioned style, which is great for the image for the restaurant, but not comfortable enough unfortunately.

Fish soup was really nice. Ratatouille was too heavy on tomatos and somewhat bland. Wine was still fermenting (actually quite refreshing but not exactly what we expected from a red wine). Place has a French feel (except for the guests in Lederhosen and Dirndl).

Amazing place to go! The ambiance is very good, it feels like you are actually in France. The food is amazing, we had escargots, steak tartare and bouillabaisse and it was all delicious. Very friendly service and we had some live music from street artists. Perfect place for a datenignt!

What a beautiful place! It's like a little piece of Paris in Regensburg! The food is great and the people are very, very nice. Always smiling and being helpful. Don't know about the hotel though, but this is definitely a place to visit.

Had brunch here and it was pretty good. Service was a little slow and a bit pricey. Great hot chocolate

Actually the food is delicious, but the service is - even for German standards - way below friendly. If you want to enjoy a good, expensive meal with horrible service, you found yourself the place to go.

We ate here on our last night in Germany and it was amazing. The service was on point and very accommodating to English speaking patrons. The food! The wine! Everything about this place was perfect. We had coffee on the patio after our meal. If you're looking for a romantic and down right delicious meal in Regensburg, look no further.

When we wanted to reserve a table for breakfast last Saturday we were told that they do not take reservations on weekends. So we went there without reservation. When we entered the restaurant a table got free. We sat down happily. After a while I detected a sign "reserved from 11 a.m." We asked a waiter how this can be. He said that it's for regular customers. Then we complained at the counter again. No manager was available. Then we were told that the reservation is for hotel guests' breakfast. In Germany you get breakfast in hotels from 7 to 10 (maximum 11a.m.). We said this and that we would consider not coming back. Then the woman at the counter said that we need not come back again.
