Restaurant Oscar

Had a quick lunch en route to France. Looked like a local favorite. Wonderful food, staff is a bit distracted at times. We had a tartare de boeuf (americain) and shrimp croquettes. Nice decor

Very fresh ingredients, high quality food for reasonable prices. The decor is very nice with a relaxing ambiance. Good fixed menu prices for two or three course dinner. The wine list was very good. Waiters were helpful and attentive. Definitely a favorite spot!

Nice restaurant but didn’t live up to our expectations. Nice decor and good menu but the vegetables with my fish of the day were lukewarm and the streaks too tough. Service was inattentive, despite being fairly quiet and the dinners took almost 45 minutes to arrive. Not a terrible experience but would try elsewhere next time we visit Mons.

We wanted to eat something before going to the Rodin exhibition around the corner . This restaurant is a discovery I took a plat du jour and was in heaven with my dish . An absolute delight . The way that meat was cooked was a long time I tasted something that good . Also the desert was delicious. The service is perfect and u sit comfortably. 5 stars !

A great restaurant, I've been to mins a several times and have been disappointed in the vegetarian options in the restaurants (unless you like pizza everyday). I walked past here and the menu had a vegetarian starter and main so thought I would give it a try. The restaurant was really nice and cosy, and the staff very friendly and helpful. They also spoke some English. The drinks selection was really good with several bottles of beer and a choice of wine and spirits. The food was really really good. Very tasty and a good size. Will definitely go here again.

Second time eating here and the staff didn't disappoint! Great food and service right off the Grand Place right near the bird nest for those familiar with Mons. The menu is inventive and well prepared. We ate from appetizers (entrees) to desserts and everything was fabulous.

Poor experience here I'm afraid. Ordered steak and it was like an old boot. Way too chewy. Orders veg, received a salad. My wife ordered the curry and it was more a water soup - she did say it was ok though to be fair. For the price, this should be much better quality and attention to service. You can find much better in Mons and don't need to pay 21Euros for a 6Euro bottle of wine.

Great food every time!

Booked a table for six in advance. Full restaurant, promising. Only one waiter, though...30 minutes before we could place our orders. Half an hour later, I was informed that my main course was not longer available. 1 hour 40 minutes after arrival, we all got our food. It was now 22:10 in the evening. Nuff said. Food was good, though (ok value for money in the myriad of restaurants in the area).
