EXTREMELY RUDE staff, something I never experienced in Switzerland. We came for lunch, ordered food and beer for my friend and we asked for an extra glass as I am on strong liquid medication that I HAVE to drink with every meal. When the waitress saw I was going to pour it from a bottle I carry with me, she started SCREAMING. We tried to explain politely but she wouldn't listen, she kept yelling, opened the door wide open and fingerpointed at the door screaming 'RAUS RAUS RAUS!!!!!!!' It was horrible and humiliating experience and we tried to explain to another staff member, he just said it's 'not their problem' that I was being sick. WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN TO THIS PLACE AND WILL MAKE SURE WE WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS RESTAURANT. You just lost an important customer.

Location is very convenient for exploration of the old town. The host is helpful and friendly. The room though on the 5th floor is accessible by lift. Food offered by the restaurant is good. I believe there are only two rooms. Mine is on the top floor with a very low ceiling. One may bump into it when getting up from bed. Some space in the room is not usable so its size is in fact rather small. Can be noisy at night, depending on the group of guests in the restaurant. On the two days I stayed, only one was noisy.

***Hotel rooms are upper floors & restaurant is on ground level. Hotel has lift. Hotel located in old city. Can get to hotel via tram/bus. I walked about 8-10 minutes with my luggage. Located steps from UNESCO Baroque Cathedral w/ Abbey Library as well as shops & restaurants. ||***Room was quaint, clean, comfy bed nice view of Clock Tower. Room had ample storage & SAFE in room. No AC. With restaurants all around, area could be noisy but room had triple pane window which worked great! Bathroom clean, small, but enough room. ||***Check in was strictly at 2pm. Check-in was quick. Reservation agent was professional and friendly.

Hotel/resturant is located in the center of the old district, about a ten minute walk from the train station. As with most of the hotel/resturant combinations in Switzerland that only have a few rooms, you enter through the bar, check in and are taken to the room. Not a problem as there is always someone to help. Did have an elevator. Rooms were small, efficient and modern. Bath was also modern. All one really needed for the night. Bar/resturant was a fun place to spend time. Filled with locals, it helped add to the experience. Did not eat dinner (only had a drink), so I cannot comment on the food. Since we were able to walk out and be in the center of everything it was a perfect place.Definately a great deal for the price.

It is a very nice place and a nice position in St.G .It is always friendly and staff smile and help and practice their English with my friend.A nice evening 😊

Great food for reasonable prices
