Google
Huge portions and seriously satisfying poutine. The one we had came loaded with tender beef, gooey cheese curds, rich gravy, and a drizzle of cheese sauce — absolutely indulgent!

Jonathan Reid

Google
Amazing food and great service. The staff were very polite. Even though we could not speak French very well they were able to speak English and were very accommodating to our lack of French speaking. Would highly recommend the French poutine. It is to die for. Imagine a french onion soup but with poutine and the general Tao poutine was spectacular. Definitely recommend. The gyro wrap is simple and delicious and hits the spot. The gravy and home fries in each of the dishes are top notch.

Google
Coming from an American, this place is good. We tried three different dishes. All of them were great. I actually prefer a more traditional poutine as opposed to their wilder, mixed up ones. I had the Indian curry version. It was good but again, I prefer the Canadian types of poutine. The service was good. Waiter spoke English. They had an English menu. If you’re looking for a good taste of Quebec, I’d suggest this!

Google
Great classic and modern poutines. The fries weren't overly salty, and overall, the whole dish was cohesive. Portions were fairly generous, with 3 orders being completely fair for 5 people.

Trevor Woods

Google
Fair quality food with good service. It's an easy spot to find something for the whole family. Closer to a chain restaurant experience than a solo establishment (which it kind of is....) I would go again if I were to return to the area.

Google
portion was MASSIVEEE and it was such a comforting meal. the fries are loaded, and there’s so much flavour in each one. you do get a bit of flavour fatigue pretty early in (at least that was my experience), and no one at my table could finish theirs unfortunately. i love poutine, and i kinda went crazy from indecision because there were so many different options. we sat outside, and bees and flies kept getting near/in our food which was really annoying.

Google
Out of a 5 day trip here... My family and I atebhere 4 times. That's. How. Good. It. Is. I'm vegan and it's the only spot in the city I found for vegan poutine! I am so sad I can't just build a poutine pipeline from here to the states.

Mathew Yee

Google
Excellent service and the place has a cool, fun vibe. I had the La Montréalaise. The flavor was great but the fries were soggy and a bit sad. I'd go back to give it a second try but i can only give it 3/5 for this visit.

Yelp
The fam at lunch here today! We were greeted immediately by a friendly host and shown to our table quickly. My French is poor, at best. It's comprised of a couple of naughty phrases and words, so our waiter immediately switched to English. Service was quick and friendly. Food was hot, delicious and fresh. The poutine was excellent.

Yelp
I thought Poutineville was thoroughly mediocre. Granted, I'm not the target audience as I'm not a gravy fan, so take this with a grain of salt. The restaurant wasn't too crowded on a Friday night. My friend and I got a seat right away. I ordered the Quebec mule (gin-based mule) to drink and a grilled chicken salad and the butter chicken poutine to eat. The drink was so refreshing and tasty! My salad was good. The chicken was tender and flavorful and the veggies tasted fresh. The poutine was ok. The sauce was only vaguely reminiscent of butter chicken and was too salty. Maybe I'm just not a poutine girl. Would go back again for a drink only.

Yelp
friendly service, great for families. kids wanted to try poutine, and this was the place. we weren't adventurous enough to try the specialty and local customizations but we saw many other people eating them and regretted not trying one. the classic poutine was awesomely good and we look forward to trying others next time we're visiting. My husband enjoyed his burger and I enjoyed my chicken sandwich.
google avatar

Yelp
Very good poutine and had the Montreal style poutine. Very good for the price and if you don't eat much, I highly recommend petit size because they will serve you a good amount.

Yelp
A very industrial poutine restaurant. Perhaps because it was my first meal since being up at 4:30 am, then having to get to the airport, fly an hour, and by the time it is 2 pm I am starving for lunch. This did the job, baseline as it gets. The Mac N Cheese bites are an excellent starter, and this is a great spot for those just diving into poutine, an iconic Canadian dish consisting of French fries, cheese curds, and gravy. However, that is just a classic style. You can add things to it if you want, but this time I chose classic and it did not disappoint. It is a little pricey, and I felt it was slung out rather than truly cared for, which prevents it from getting another star. The food overall is tasty, but after I visited here, had no desire to return as I felt it did its job and served its purpose, like a MacGuffin in an Alfred Hitchcock film. Save the suspense and try something, enjoy and move on.

Yelp
When in Canada, you gotta have poutine! This place was conveniently located right across from the hotel where we stayed. We stopped by here to grab takeout after a long day of walking around the neighborhood. All poutine items come in three different sizes, which was nice. We ordered the smoked meat poutine in regular size and customized it to swap the Swiss cheese with cheese curds. The food did not disappoint, and we stopped by again the next night for another bite. If you're looking for poutine in Quebec City, look no further.
google avatar

Yelp
The menu offers a wide variety of options, and I appreciated the friendly, quick service. The burger was quite tasty, but the bun hadn't been griddled, which created an unappealing temperature contrast when biting in.
google avatar

Yelp
Good casual joint for pub grub. Clean and simple atmosphere. Outdoor seating. Efficient service. Nice tap list. Good kids menu. Food is good at reasonable prices. Good place for pub grub.

Yelp
First time to Quebec from California so I've never had poutine before. Ordered a classic and I don't get the fascination. Fries with gravy and tasteless curds. The gravy tasted exactly like McCormicks dried gravy mix. I ate it as it wasn't bad but absolutely no reason to have it again. The smoked meat deli sandwich was ok. The meat is sliced very thin so it was kind a dry. The mustard and mayo drowned out any potential flavor the meat might have had. Lastly, the grilled chicken salad was pretty normal. Hard to mess that up. So, the food is just ok.

Yelp
Food was awesome. So many different options & we loved them all. Service was pretty good as they were very busy. Interesting place & plenty of room for seating. We will be back.

Yelp
New to this poutine thing, but figured what better place than poutineville to give it an authentic try. Service was very friendly, the food came out fairly quick and tasted wonderful. Still not sure if I'm sold on it, but did find it very filling. We ordered the fried cheese curds and they were cold in the center which was a little disappointing. The portions are based of priced servings, so you get what you pay for. Be fore warned, the mega will feed a party of 3. 8.0/10
google avatar

Rose M.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick bite. Split the crunchy poutine and Philly cheese steak. Beers on tap or bottle. Great service. Indoor or outdoor seating. We had a very enjoyable experience and would come back again.
google avatar

Yelp
Being in this part of Canada, we knew we had to try poutine and this place did not disappoint. From a comfortable seating environment, to friendly staff, to a wide variety of poutine to try out, this place had exactly what we were looking for. We ordered the hangover poutine and it was delicious! With different kinds of meat in it, it did not disappoint. Our only regret was not having a bigger stomach to try more out. On a side not, 1 mega size poutine is enough to fill 3-4 stomachs
google avatar

Janine W.

Yelp
Poutine was awesome. No skimping on cheese curds and the fries were yum! Good gravy too! Overall great and a chain to boot! I like chunkier fries so that is a bonus for me. Also ordered their chicken fingers which were meh. The sauce was bbq and it was good. Overall go for the poutine! They had a $100 poutine weighing 15lbs with all the fixings. Good for a party!
google avatar

Ashok J.

Yelp
When in Quebec, eat poutine is what my friends said and they were right. This was close to where we were taking a stroll and we just had to try the Poutine. What sets this apart is the sauce that is smothered and the toppings. A whole delicious cheat meal, loved every bite. There were so many toppings to choose from. This is a great place for poutine with friendly staff.
google avatar

Steven M.

Yelp
Now don't get me wrong, this was very delicious. This is a vegan only review as the options were extremely limited. They did have regular gravy, some daiya cheese. Staff was friendly and spoke both French and English. Portion size was huge, but very expensive. Every little thing we added on came at a huge expense. We did order to-go and it remained hot for the next upcoming few hours. Very delicious, recommended, my first truly poutine experience and it did hurt the pockets, it was extremely delicious.
google avatar

Sharon K.

Yelp
If you're craving some classic and simple yet delicious poutine, here is the place! We ordered the La Poutineville which had pulled pork, cheese curd on top of some more melted cheese and their flavorful gravy sauce. Their potatoes were crispy too. This was more than enough for 2 people! The ambiance and service was mediocre though

M S.

Yelp
They have a variety of poutine dishes from vegetarian to meat options. The food was alright, nothing spectacular, but this is a casual place and poutines aren't fancy food. The server was friendly and kind to obviously confused tourists.
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
Nice place, fast seating, and good service. Ordered the Raspberry Sour (beer) and The Classic Poutine. I wouldn't say the poutine was bad but coming from Texas, I'm accustomed to a lot more flavor in my food and this was lacking. With that said, I wouldn't say it was bad and would recommend you come try it for yourself. My friend and I split the junior size and it was perfect for a taster/snack. The beer wasn't great, more bitter and not much raspberry.
google avatar

D K.

Yelp
Poutineville, a restaurant that honours the beauty of a traditional and nuanced take on the poutine. Don't let the name fool you though, they have a expansive menu with lots of wonderful food and drink. We so enjoyed our time at this location. I recommend!
google avatar

Vanessa F.

Yelp
Loved our food. Service was ok. The price was fair. I would come back if I was here longer. The atmosphere was ok. Industrial look which I like. The music was hard rock.
google avatar

Elaine S.

Yelp
Lots of options / flavors to choose from, and customer service was great. The place was clean, and music was upbeat and pleasant. We had hat trick and poutineville house special to share since dinner was coming up in 2 hours. Their poutine is the best one I've had so far.
google avatar

Lisa T.

Yelp
While landing in the city from a cruise we sought out the best poutine in town and this was it! Perfect portions. Perfect food. Great service! Hip little spot right in the heart of the business area. The bus stop is right in front but we walked from Old Quebec as it was easier. Would definitely go back if we get back to Canada, I mean who doesn't love French fires covered in gravy and cheese curds? I opted for the Italian version so I had a meat sauce instead of the traditional gravy but was able to eat my husbands as well. We also shared a Greek salad to get in our veggies.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're looking for an authentic poutine experience in Quebec, Canada, look no further than Poutineville. This cozy little restaurant serves up some of the best poutine in town, and you'll definitely want to come back for more. The fries are crispy and the gravy is flavorful, and the cheese curds are the perfect finishing touch. Trust us, this is poutine done right. So if you're in the mood for some delicious comfort food, make sure to check out Poutineville. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I heard the poutine here is awesome so I dropped by to get a classic poutine one evening but I did not eat any. It was quite busy I guess with most tables filled. There were two servers. One was a guy who seated the group in front of me when I got there. Once they were seated, he went around the front passing and ignoring me then he walked around the bar didn't do anything then went in to what looked like the kitchen area for a bit. He came out and stood in a corner still without acknowledging me then a couple stood up to the front to pay. He immediately walked to the front as soon as he saw the couple. They stood beside me as they paid. I waited politely but was still ignored as he assisted the couple and worked on the machine in front of me. He avoided eye contact all the time I was there. I had no choice but to talk to the other server who was a female who looked so busy. She wasn't as helpful as the other. She said to wait and I told her it is just for take out and that the other server has been ignoring me. She then pointed me to a self serve machine on the side which did not have English translation so I asked her and she looked and sounded annoyed and tried to change the language but did not work so she told me to wait again. That's when I said nevermind and left. It was like I was invisible. I did not look indecent nor homeless nor like someone who does not have money. I do not know if this is about race or language or whatever. I am not white, French nor can't speak French. I would also have waited longer if someone acknowledged me or even just smiled and looked at me which is a sign to me that they saw me and to wait. But nope, nothing.

Yelp
A variety of choices for everyone, classic to around the world flavors. Did not disappoint.

Glenn G.

Yelp
Overall, the best poutine so far during our stay in QC. Tasty fries with gravy that does not have the flavour of Swiss Chalet sauce like their competitor down the street. Nor do the cheese curds have that rubbery consistency that comes with fast food poutine. Good job!

Nicole Y.

Yelp
Tasty poutine, great portion, and friendly service made our dining experience memorable and delightful. The poutine was perfectly seasoned, with crispy fries and a generous amount of cheese curds, all smothered in rich, flavorful gravy. The portion size was more than generous!
google avatar

Greg S.

Yelp
First time trying poutine and Poutineville didn't disappoint. Good variety and sizes for our needs. Great service for helping us make our selection of food and beer! We did take out to eat in our loft but ambiance was hip and cool (my taste of cool). We walked so no review on parking.

Yelp
Can't have a complete trip to Quebec without trying poutine! And the best place for it is the place that specializes in it - Poutineville. I had the pulled pork poutine and my friend had the Hat Trick, which came with bacon, ground beef, and hot dog sausages. Both were amazing. They have so many to choose from, including a list of international-themed poutines such as the Greek "Zeus" Poutine, the American "Cheeseburger" Poutine, the Italian "Godfather" Poutine, and the Russian "Vladimir Poutine." (just kidding about that last one).
google avatar

Chandan K.

Yelp
The best poutine in Quebec City and so many options to customize. This is your place if you want to try traditional Quebec food dish. The server was very professional and prompt. We (8) were seated quickly and everything was served without any errors.
google avatar

Earl H.

Yelp
It was my first experience with poutine. It was interesting, but be prepared to challenge you cholesterol levels.... heavy on the brown gravy, cheese curds, and French fries. Service, once seated, was reasonable, however, on initial entry, a young lady ahead of us, and the Great Gal and I waited at least 15 minutes, without even being acknowledged. I was just about to walk out when a young lady came by to escorting the lady in front of us, and said to us that she would "be right back."
google avatar

Cindy N.

Yelp
Service was alright, don't know if they have a thing against English speaking tourists? But our service was immensely slower compared to the locals/French speakers. The was plenty of meat which was nice but I found the ratio of meat to fries didn't match

Linda N.

Yelp
Good, tasty, no frills poutine. Generous portions and very reasonably priced. Service is good. A great place for a hearty meal if you don't need fancy ambiance.
google avatar

Maria Augusta N.

Yelp
Restaurant was very dirty, greasy floors. The food arrived quickly, but the taste wasn't very good. Fries were very dark, poutine was ok.
google avatar

Jenny W.

Yelp
After some long walks and ice skating, I was dying of hunger. Decided to try Poutineville. Had the classic burger with a side of salad and the pulled pork sandwich with fries. It was some of the best foods I've had in a while. Everything was so good! The waiters and waitresses speak both French and English. They were super friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is only 1 min walk from where we stayed. We were starving after 10 hour exploring quebec winter carnival and its surrounding. We ordered one of the 'popular' menu (beef poutine). Soooooo good!! The fries is actually potato wedges. It has that nice crispiness as we bite it. The gravy has bit of that red wine flavour. Great combination with overall (the curd and pulled beef). This cripsy potato wedges is also better than the typical fries. Service was great! There are many 'popular' item to try, yet so little (tummy) space and time in quebec. Highly recommended. Hope we can come back in future.
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
I love that you can build your own poutine. Came here for lunch and there was plenty of tables to sit at. Ordered a drink and read over the card you fill out for your custom order. I recommend the crushed house potatoes since it's unique. I got cheese curds and mozzarella. Curds don't really melt and are traditional. I got onions and mushrooms since those go well with gravy. For protein I can't say no to a fried egg or braised beef ( so tender!). Bam! Poutine my way! Also I got the junior cuz it is a lot of food.
google avatar

Heather L.

Yelp
Great quick and easy spot to stop in and get a crap load of poutine! I was in town visiting back in march, and this place was a 3 minute walk from my air bnb. Dangerous. Because it's so damn good. The fries are crisp, the gravy is hearty and thick, and you can't go wrong with the cheese curd. They put a ton on too, which is what made this place a goto while I was in town. And it didn't break the bank. You can easily get two meals out if one order and it probably cost like $7-8 USD. I will be back again next time I'm in town! Only "drawback," no parking. Just street, which can be difficult. But if you're staying in town it's very easy to walk to.
google avatar

Tanvi M.

Yelp
Great vibe but overwhelming amount of food! Huge portion size! Great service and good beer recommendations!
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Our server was the best. She's pleasant and super friendly. She recommended a cocktail for me and she nailed it. The food was delish. You can custom made for poutine however you want. I had sweet potato as my base with brie, fresh cheese curds, goat cheese, sauteed onions, mushroom, chicken topped with 2 sunny side up eggs and smothered with red wine gravy. TO DIE FOR..
google avatar

Nikki S.

Yelp
Came to check out Poutineville while exploring Quebec City. We heard it was a great spot for some authentic and creative poutine so we figured we'd check it out. We walked in and the place was huge. They have indoor and outdoor seating but the weather was iffy so we sat inside. We both ordered a glass of wine, they were pretty stingy on the pour. I know it's not a high dollar place, but for the price of a glass it's nice to get a proper portion of wine. After getting our drinks we went straight for the Poutine! I ordered the Hangover Cure and my boyfriend got the Filet Mignon Poutine (treat your self, right)!? We got the regular portion since it was only $2 more than the Junior. It was certainly enough Poutine! We had barely eaten that day so we totally overindulged and rolled outta there. The Hangover Cure was good. It had some heat to it but not too spicy. The egg on top was a nice touch. Ive never had Poutine with that before. They were definitely generous with the meat in my dish, not so much on the cheese curds. I tried a bite of my boos dish and it was really good (I had food envy). They have a create your own Poutine menu that I think I'd try the next time I'm there. The price wasn't too bad for what you got, we'll be back if we're in the area again.

Yelp
We asked our server from Mille et Une where we could find the best poutine in Quebec and she recommended here. Nice walk and it was great to get out of Old Quebec and be in a neighborhood that looked a little more progressive. The hosts were very friendly and excited that it was our first time here. We ordered an imported wine....from California! LOL! I also ordered the poutine with the pulled pork and a salad to balance everything out. Great flavors! I wish we knew about this place earlier, cause I would return just for the poutine. We both ordered burgers since it is one of their signatures. I ordered mine with onion rings and she brought out honey with them. She: Have you every had honey with your onion rings? Me: No...I wouldn't of thought about it She: Try it....it's very good! She was right! Something I plan on trying again soon! Everything came out in a timely manner and our server, I can't remember her name, was great! She was interested in California and had many questions. This is definitely a great place to come to! The area is pretty cool as well!

Yelp
Pretty good but now I am officially bored of Poutine. Service was great. Vibes great. Loved the food but probably will never have to eat poutine again for the rest of my life. One tip: have them fry an egg on top of your poutine. Tried the red wine gravy and it wasn't too special to me. But again, I am only sounding negative because I have eaten too much poutine. First time poutine eaters in Québec City: I highly recommend you lose your poutine virginity here.

Katie E.

Yelp
Very slow service and they are out of many things on the menu. The food we ate tasted awful.
google avatar

Meridena K.

Yelp
Pretty delicious poutine! I only had the poutine, but they have a bunch of other items on the menu, and have vegetarian options too. Potatoes were awesome-I would have had a bowl of them just plain. Who knew that was so important and probably why other places don't measure up. I did build your own poutine, mine was pretty basic but I wanted more cheese. The braised beef was delicious, next time I would get more meat though. Super nice staff, and pretty quick service.
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
My friend and I came here for dinner, and it was great! There was outdoor seating available, but we opted to sit inside so we could enjoy the air conditioning. I like this spot because we got papers to customize our poutine, and it was fun. We got their large size, crushed (house special) potatoes, fresh cheese curds, and gravy. We added mushrooms, eggplant, and smoked meat on top, and it was very tasty. I would've liked there to be more cheese, but the potatoes were great and I liked that it wasn't just fries. The gravy was tasty too. The eggplant wasn't cooked enough and was still a bit too rubbery for my liking, and there wasn't enough smoked meat nor mushrooms either. In general, the poutine was quite tasty though! It came out to be around 16 CAD including tax which is a bit pricey, but portions were large and hooray for customization!
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Everyone said If I was going to Canada that I had to try poutine so what better place than one called Poutineville?! Every table has a pen and paper where you can create your very large order of poutine with tons of options! I really wanted a burger too so I ended up just getting one with a side of the classic poutine! The poutine was Delicious! Unfortunately My server didn't hear me correctly and gave me the blue cheese burger instead of the really spicy one on the menu. It was still good even though I don't really like blue cheese. If I'm ever back I will definitely try to create your own poutine!

Yelp
Honestly, we only stopped in here because I needed something in my stomach before hitting up a nearby brewery. I would not go out of my way to eat here, and I probably wouldn't return. It's a big space but it was super empty when we sat down. Because we were just getting something small, we headed for the bar. One of the staff kept making jokes about us only speaking English, which was off-putting, but we rolled with it. I ordered a junior of their house specialty, and I couldn't eat it - the beef was so stringy and overly spiced with cloves. Ick. We finished our beer and left. I just cannot recommend this place - too many other tasty spots nearby.
