Saint James is a cozy restaurant. No dress code. If you want to sit close to the ocean, you had better make a reservation as early as possible. The food is unexpectedly light, I love it! We ordered 1starter and 2 main course. The portion is good, not too large. Extremely recommend foie gras, it tastes so good. The lamb is soft and well cooked! The scallop and shrimp are fresh!

Staff was excellent and food was amazing. Our table had the most amazing view of the sunset and we hope to one day come back again. Thank you!

Lovely views, however sadly disappointed by the taste of the food. We had heard great things about Restaurant Saint James and ordered the daily risotto with beef and the marinated tuna nori. Both were pretty plain. Nothing special for what is supposed to be one of the best restaurants on the island. The tuna and vegetables were watery and didn’t taste marinated with no real flavour. In hindsight and after seeing the adjoining beach bar serving wraps and baguettes, this would have been a better and less expensive choice.

Enjoyable dinner overlooking the bay. I opted for the taxi pick up and drop off, available for request on their website. It’s very convenient, however you may have to carpool with other guests. First time trying poisson cru at this restaurant. I couldn’t get enough the rest of the trip! Also, get there early to get the best seat on the balcony!

Beautiful space right on the water. The food however was just okay. We had the filet and the local scallops and shrimp. Would recommend this place for a glass of wine though! Service was great.

It was a delightful experience eating by the waterfront in Bora Bora. The service and the food were both good. The prices are in line with what I experienced in the local markets and at the resort we stayed at. If staying at a resort, you’ll have to take a water taxi in order to get there, and it’s a short walk from the arrival point to the restaurant. Pic attached of area we waited at in the bar until our table was ready in the main restaurant.

I made a reservation on email for happy hour in the bar with a view of the sunset and a later reservation for dinner in the restaurant. Unfortunately, when I arrived on their shuttle service, they seated me in the restaurant and lied to me when I asked about happy hour drinks. I then asked for my table in the bar which they didn't have! So they seated me at one of the back tables until I pointed out two empty waterfront tables and asked to be moved. Food and beverages were quite good and they didn't end up charging me for the shuttle service.

What a beautiful place! Amazing staff! Incredible food! I recommend arriving 1 hour prior to sunset and enjoy a cocktail in the bar (drinks were very strong and we were cautioned about this but they were amazing!) Take lots of pictures! Unfortunately for me, I arrived not feeling well. The owner is extremely hospitable and did everything in his power to help me feel better. We saw all sorts of fish and even a reef shark from our table! Wow! Thank you to everyone for making our night amazing. We have a few days left here and now that I'm feeling better I'm planning on returning ASAP. P.S. Ignore that pretentious A-holes' comment about people being "underdressed" or not getting the table they wanted. He'll probably be divorced soon with that attitude. This place is booked months, even years in advance. Snooze you lose buckaroo.
