Restaurant Schnattl

We had both a delightful meal and unforgettable time. The owner Andre was simply the nicest human. We were coveting the osso buco, but, they had sadly sold out, this had a delectable beefsteak instead. The service was unrushed, but we had a show to get to. So Andre hurried the food and personally arranged a taxi to deliver us on time. He waited in the rain with us - dedicated to service. My family will never forget that meal!

I liked the mushroom soup but not the main dish which I forgot its name. No English menu but I had help from a nice waiter. Generally not too bad but not my style.

Everything good but the fact that the waitress didn’t speak English and the chef gave a rather awkward attitude. I can understand this is a classy restaurant but cannot accept that you don’t speak English in a cosmopolitan (supposedly) capital

The food was excellent, they have degustation menus for 38 and 55 euros. the wines were excellent too, very well prices (5-7 euros per glass for very high quality wines. and the service was perfect if i ever go back to Vienna i will go again
