Restaurant Strela-Alp

Fantastic restaurant near the mountain station Schatzalp. I would highly recommend to take a short hike to visit the restaurant instead of the ones located right next to the station. The quality of food was outstanding and the service impeccable. Probably the best Rösti I ever had! (they call it Strela Rösti). I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Davos.

Very nice view, good food. No wifi and litte slow service. But they are super friendly.

Great food, wonderful views... I recommend to walk all the way up from Davos Platz (takes around 1 hour) to build up an appetite for hearty Swiss food.

Strela Alp is one of Davos’s most charming mountain restaurants, located directly on the slopes above Davos Platz. I visited after a morning of skiing and was immediately impressed by the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Alps. The terrace is the perfect place to enjoy the sunshine while savoring traditional alpine cuisine. I ordered their house rösti with bacon and fried egg, which was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender inside. The staff were warm, efficient, and handled the busy lunchtime crowd with ease, always ensuring a friendly and relaxed atmosphere despite the high turnover typical of mountain huts.

The view is the main attraction here. Note: this establishment was visited prior to the deordination of social distancing.
