Restaurant - Tavern - Cafeteria - Ithomi

Really nice unfussy restaurant with a great view over Messini site. Both the food and service were very good. I had a vegetable stew type dish with sweet Paprika which was delicious.

What an amazing find . The only Taverna in the area . Family run , food was first class , fresh , authentic and beautifully presented

It took ages to get the Menus and then another generation passed before we got the food, half the menu wasn’t available, the prices is high and it’s just a normal tavern. The view is great so if you here and you hungry and you don’t mind over paying you can eat here. The Ruster was actually really really good.

We had a lovely lunch here, with views overlooking the nearby archaeological site. You can park shortly down the road in the village car park

A very nice surprise, during an unscheduled stop at Ancient Messenia. A stunning view over the archeological site, a warm welcome from the owner (and the cats!), and delicious traditional Greek food. A special mention for the Imam. Try it!

Ate dinner hare after a visit to the ruins of ancient Messini. Generous portions of locally sourced food and local wines by the jug. Great value, great views.

After visiting the impressive site of Ancient Messini, we stopped at this taverna to cool off a bit and have a bite to eat. Not only did the terrace have an amazing view on the full site of Ancient Messini, but the food was also extremely tasty and one of the best lunches we had in Greece. I’d definitely recommend this place!
