Restaurant “Taverne Lindos”

Really enjoyed the platters that were just the right size for 4 people to share. With the right portion size, you get to enjoy the dessert too

food was ok. nothing special. When you are used to "authentic" Greek this will maybe be a let down. I took the suvlaki, a lot of French fries.. 80% of the plate, the meat was very thin pieces. very big difference compared to a Greek restaurant in The Netherlands or big city. my son had the bifteki.. , which was very good! only way to much potatoes. The fish my wife had was good of taste the service was excellent 👌, very nice waiters, helpful. 10/10 we did not make a reservation, so we got seated on the road side. small town not to much traffic. so no problem. overall a good experience but I would recommend they would look at the suvlaki recept. Or overall less fries and potatoes and more meat.

After a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience at Gasthof Hinterwirt we popped into Taverne Lindos for dinner. They were very friendly and welcoming. The service was awesome - in spite of our unfortunate inability to speak German - and the food was fabulous. The house wines (trocken) were great. My kids, wife and I would strongly recommend this restaurant. I didn’t think I was fond of Greek food. Taverne Lindos changed that. We will absolutely return next time we are visiting the area.

I think this place deserves 3 stars, but I give one to try to lower the rate of the restaurant. I liked the service but the food was very very oily and I think it was not a good price for value.
