What a unique location with the Aare river running beneath parts of the restaurant. Glad we came here. Views are fantastic despite the cloudy day. Must be nice to sit outdoors when the sun is out. Food is just ok. A bit heavy hand on the seasoning. Soup was salty and salad had too much dressing . Our mains .. risotto with pumpkin n carrot is good and my wild rice with fish ragout was pretty good. Service is excellent here polite , prompt and friendly.

This is the best place! Amazing food, fantastic service, and the view was wonderful! We sat outside and enjoyed the sounds of the rushing river, ate a very generous serving of mussels and also the daily fish special which was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend. In fact if the rain stops, we may go back tonight to enjoy it in the evening.

The location is amazing but the service in the Fondue Tent was not good. Neither was the food. The sauce for the Nüssli Salat had a strong mayonnaise taste. The Bären fondue we ordered for 4 people was nearly cold on arrival, when heated up it started to separate. We were told, it was our fault because we did heat up to much(???). We asked them to maybe add some maize flour, so they brought us a bowl of maize meal to the table. How did they think, that works? They should have known! We finally got a new one, that was better. The taste though was good. The tea we ordered with the main, we got with the starter. The Glühwein was good to say something nice in the end. They really have to work on the education of the service.

Lovely place in Bern that is probably even better in summertime. We went here for a business dinner with about 14 people. Service was a bit slow and the kitchen took about an hour to serve us the starters. It also took a while to get the orders in general. The staff is friendly but doesn't seem to understand English very well which made it a bit difficult to our guests. The food was tasty and nicely displayed. I especially enjoyed the wine. Luckily we had someone who knew about wines and ordered for us. He did ask the service about the local wines but they were not trained on this apparently. I really liked the interior.

Great food, service, and a nice scenic location nestled by the river. Also bonus points for being a lifesaver so I could charge my phone for my upcoming train!

Instagram place, fantastic view, self service even you pay way… to high for the drink,still need to walk to order and take the drink back to your table. Worth for the view!.

Beautiful location. The food was fair. It wasn't amazing food, but pretty good. Service was good and friendly, I'm not sure what the other people that left negative reviews were referring to. We got here at 11:30 am (that's when they start serving lunch) on a Thursday and got seated right away. I would highly recommend coming here.

Beautiful place. Love the sound & view of water. There are 2 sections: a small section with a limited menu, has its own designated area. The other section is with bigger menu variety. Salmon & cucumber dish is a must try. Other than that dish, food was ordinary.
