Exactly what we wanted after a week of eating our way through France! The food here is cooked by the owners mom, so definitely has a homemade yet delicious vibe. Restaurant is small though, so people know to make reservations in advance! We got lucky with one open table, but if you're looking for good Vietnamese food in France - you can def find some here! The apps were particularly good - loved the banh xeo (Vietnamese crepes!) Also the spicy beef dish was amazingly tender and well seasoned!

Good restaurant, but the opening times are not good.

I feel pained to say this, but I don't think the owner is mentally stable. Please read carefully the negative reviews below, they are consistent with our experience. We entered as well-meaning customers who greeted him in the wrong language. He became rapidly and intensely offended over a small misunderstanding. I wanted to smoothe things over, but he didn't even give us a chance; a verbal altercation ensued. You can see from his responses to other negative reviews here that he has a preconception of various types of people and is openly snobby and disrespectful, hiding behind his education and taste rather than trying to engage his clients as individuals. It's quite a sad state of affairs, as by all accounts the food looks tasty and other diners have mentioned the attention to detail in the cooking.

Bizarre! Went in and asked for table for two. Member of staff half hidden at the rear of the restaurant started shaking his head vigorously then disappeared behind the scenes. We were just left standing there not quite sure what had just happened. Weird and off-putting. We won't try again.

Snobby, and potentially racist owner. Not recommended for casual dining, got a rude response when we asked about a quick sit and go. Requires reservations ahead.

Amazing place, great food and excellent service! Might require booking in advance but it is *really* worth it!

They close already at 13.20 and refuse clients without reservation even though they have free space

Fantastic meal. The saté soup was amazing!

Yelp
Favorite Vietnamese restaurant. Cozy atmosphere and very clean. Authentic food and fair prices. We always return each year when in Strasbourg to the Thuy Tien. Very friendly and helpful host with menu.
