We had a Valentine's Day menu at Tizne, and my first impression was that it had a very luxurious feel, and I really liked the interior design. The food came out, and it was quite spicy, which I personally enjoy, but I can imagine that many might find it a bit intense. That said, it's a Mexican restaurant, so I think the spiciness is part of the experience! My overall experience with the food was that a lot of the dishes centered around various types of chili and sauces. While I appreciate that, I would have liked to see more finesse in the dishes with a wider range of components.
I’ve read that many people feel they don't leave feeling full after dining here, and I can understand why, as the focus seems to be on sauces rather than the main components of the meal. My favorite dish was the grilled lobster and the potato rose, which were excellent. The rest of the dishes, though, didn't stand out as much. The wines were good, but a bit too expensive with limited options, although I personally prefer cocktails and thought they were delicious too!
I don't want to sound too critical because I had a mixed experience. The service was generally good, though towards the end, we were forgotten about for our final dessert. However, they kindly fixed it and apologized, which was much appreciated.
