"Dining Under Century-Old Stone Arches In 2010, the striking 1,640-foot-long Im Viadukt opened beneath century-old stone railway arches with 50 vendors. Its namesake Restaurant Viadukt, located a few arches over from the Markthalle, combines a youth job training program with a modern menu with dishes like veal meatloaf with morel jus. On warm evenings, there’s outdoor seating that overlooks the Josefwiese park. Photo © Toshimi Ogasawara, Zürich."

This restaurant is highly recommended! The atmosphere is very nice, warm, elegant and not too loud. The menu is seasonal (both food and drinks) ensuring high quality of ingredients. The food was very delicious. The price is of course a bit on a more expensive side, but completely in line with the service provided, the food quality and being in a rather central zone of Zurich. The people working there were extremely kind, which is always very appreciated!

The location is really nice. We got faced with the park and could enjoy the skyline and the people enjoying the park. The service was attentive and quite friendly. The menu doesn't have many options, which is in my books a positive sign. But for the price we paid, we expected a slightly better quality/flavors. I will go again but maybe in autumn or winter when there is a different menu. Weirdly the cake was served upside down. Not sure if that was done on purpose or not.

This is a very popular local spot. I had a late lunch which included the soup and salad and I also ordered the asparagus dish (but without the egg that comes with it). It was delicious. The staff is really friendly and accommodating. The vibe is a little off because there is quite a bit of noise from the viaduct construction that is happening on the other side of the restaurant. It's an especially popular spot with families and toddlers because it overlooks Josefwiese, a park with lots of amenities for small children.

Viadukt is located under a railway and beside a beautiful park. The venue was very nicely decorated and comfortable to have dinner in. The waiters were very friendly and attentive to our needs. My only complaint was that the rice of the chicken dish was a little salty. However, the fish dish was delicious. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant to satisfy your craving for a Swiss meal.

We were passing by and saw this place next to a nice park and decided to have breakfast. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The service was friendly and the place is nice, but the breakfast was overpriced in our opinion. We had the Viadukt Frühstück, that consists of a small omelet with almost no speck (very different from the pics on the web), a kartoffelpuffer with a bit of cheese on top, a very small yogurt with a bit of granola, half of a tiny pancake, jam, butter and honey, and a small glass of orange juice. All this for the modest sum of 24 CHF. It's a pity because the presentation and the taste were good, but it's not worth the price if the portions are so small. We saw other people eating the menu, which looked nice, so possibly it would have been a better option.

Delightful restaurant with excellent views of the park. It was so busy on a beautiful July evening that we had to sit slightly inside. My wife and I enjoyed the bratwurst with potatoes and salad (the sweet mustard was a solid addition). The chocolate cake was dense, had full chocolate flavour, and you get two pieces. Awesome!

My husband and I had an exceptionally lovely time for dinner at viadukt. The ambiance is extremely cozy, the staff was super friendly and the food was phenomenal! It’s a modern take on Swiss food and that’s exactly what we were looking for. It’s a bit silly to me that people give less stars because of price - it’s Zürich! One of most expensive places in the world. I felt like the food prepared and provided was well worth the price we paid - esp for Zürich.

Great place for a warm day. Friendly service, very clean and love to be under the viaduct and hear the trains pass. We had the menu which was inventive, well priced and delicious. Cold maíz soup w coconut, salad with grains, I had the vegan dish (hummus, grilled broccoli, beats) and my partner had a super tasty veal dish. Will come back for sure.

Yelp
Decent but EXPENSIVE breakfast with not a lot of options Got the following: Scrambled eggs with bacon: 3 stars, average. They bring a basket of bread with it, but it is just as it states... nothing more Large breakfast platter: 3 stars. Comes with orange juice. Lots of cheese and sliced meats, but again all very average and as described with nothing exciting. Also got a chai latte - good, not great as I like my chai's very spicy. This one was bland. Won't be back

Yelp
What a nice surprise under Zürich Viadukt. You will enjoy delicious and modern Swiss food in a nice decoration. The waiters are a bit slow, but really nice and professional. We really enjoyed our time in Viadukt Restaurant

Yelp
Very small restaurant, with a small menu, when not there for dinner. We really enjoyed the walk to this place and the foos and beer. Staff were very friendly and helpful and they had an english menu

Yelp
Fresh Swiss meat !!! This restaurant is in the indoor Market "Im Viadukt". The market place close at 8 pm but the restaurant stays open. It is a cool atmosphere and very nice open spacious. The food is organic and from local farming. Due to that you have very high prices. I took a lamrack and ended up paying 65 Sfr for it. I took french fries (7 Sfr.) and vegatables (again... 7 Sfr.... ) I felt a bit ripped off, especially because the portions of the french fries, veggies and the meat where kinda small. The food was very good but I was not filled.... The staff was actually mediocre... They brought the wrong drinks (can happen), dishes came not always at the same time, and we were sometimes waiting for them to come to ask us if we needed drinks or so, they really didn't pay attention enough (and we were with 7 people). I won't come back to this place because it was for me too exspensive and the service was not what I expected for that price. A waiter who's nice and smile make the dining out experience 10 times better. A pity, because the food is good.

Yelp
The place Situated in a cool and bustling neighborhood in Zurich, this place is uber-easy to find, just look for the Freitag tower, and it's a few hundreds meters from there. The place itself is cosy and can host groups up to 8-10 people so I good address for afterwork dinners. The decor was modern but nothing really special. The food My girlfriend ordered the fish, vegetables and rice on the side, and I ordered ravioli. The rice was soaked in butter which is too bad because the fish was actually very good. As for the vegetables, there was no effort in making them (no taste and no texture). I was kind of disappointed by the ravioli because they were soaked in butter and I only had 8 pieces in total as a main dish. The wine was very good, but lacked of choice. Service is where we were very upset: waiters were not really responsive to us although the restaurant was not really busy. Prices did not really correspond to the quality of food and service. Each dish cost 30-40 Sfr. I would not really come back, sorry

Yelp
if you're looking for a place close to the Sheraton hotel, this restaurant is just a 10min. walk down the street. situated across the street from the park, this coffee shop/restaurant had a nice ambiance; perfect during the day for a light lunch, coffee, and getting some work done on a laptop or just a meeting with a friend. their "snack" menu is quite filling actually. the prosciutto flatbread is light, salad with fig and egg: fresh and delicious, and chocolate cake: on the dry side, but still a nice flavor and great with a coffee. the berries on top of the cake totally make it for me! the one thing I really like about the place is the conscious eating aspect; with organic and farm-raised ingredients, makes it easy to enjoy your good. :)

Yelp
Quite good! The menus were in German so I had to call on my limited skills to try and order. I had a DELICIOUS buffalo mozzarella salad which had me as soon as it arrived as it smelled amazing. I had a second Mediterranean style dish with shrimps that was a bit spicy but really tasty. Decent service, albeit a bit slow. It's a cool atmosphere with cozy decorations. Although we were there on a rainy night, apparently they open up the full patio in the back so folks can sit outside during nicer weather. Limited wine selection, but the white wine we did have was pleasant. Note - they do not take American Express!

Yelp
Good food, great location; try and get a seat outside facing the Park. Food was good and the service was very friendly. Just keep in mind the park in front of the restaurant is PACKED with kids so, be prepared to have little rascals running around.. if you don't mind (like me) then this is a great little lunch spot. Had a Hugo, glass of sparkling and a Piadina for CHF 25,-.

Yelp
Wonderful restaurant in a very hip area. We ordered the bratwurst w/ potatoes - authentic and delicious. Our friend ordered the polenta dish - perfect for a cold and rainy evening. The hay soup was sinful. The Spring salad with sliced rhubarb was delicious. House-made gravlax was so rich and tasted just right. Dessert included creme brulee with an infusion of lavender and the rhubarb crumble with mascarpone dollop was out of this world...great wine list and exceptional service from a very (here it comes) friendly and happy staff!!

Yelp
Sleep late and still eat brunch - it's a slackers dream come true. Hipster ambience, industrial elements, and overlooking a park - Viadukt is a winner for a cozy meal. Brunch is your usual Swiss bread and cheeses, but they also have eggs a la carte and specials like eggs Benedict and pancakes. Pretty good value for your money too.
