Restaurant Villa Mas

I recently visited Restaurant Villa Mas in S’Agaró and was thoroughly impressed! Let’s start with the wine list — it’s truly exceptional! An enormous selection, around 500 options or more. You’d be lucky to find such a wine cellar in 2 out of 100 restaurants, where the norm is just 15–30 choices. A paradise for wine lovers! The cuisine was delightful, though with minor caveats. The lamb stood out — juicy, tender, and perfectly cooked. A unique touch was the variety of tomatoes, with 5 different types, adding flair to the dishes. The menu is concise, and I wished for a few more hot dishes, but everything I tried was top-notch. I’d give the kitchen a solid 5, with a slight minus. The interior and atmosphere are impeccable — a clear 5+! Every detail is thoughtfully designed, creating a cozy and stylish vibe. The service was equally outstanding: attentive, friendly staff, and everything was prompt with a smile — another 5+. Overall, Villa Mas is a place I’d love to revisit, especially for its incredible wine cellar and fantastic ambiance. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates fine dining and aesthetics!

Stunning place with excellent food and an extensive and delicious natural wine list. Service was 10/10, specially Emma with her wine recommendation and how she made is feel. Will come back for sure.

Truly exquisite. It’s rare I find a place that has the trifecta of impeccable food, service and atmosphere, but Villa Mas is that place. I started with the light fried Palamos shrimp, which was an unexpected revelation— crunchy, delicate, rich in flavor from the shrimp and the lime and ginger emulsion. Then I had the Dentex fish with the Donostiarra sauce. I selected a lovely orange wine from Catalonia that paired beautifully with the meal. A chocolate chou paired with coffee provided the ideal finish. All of this unfolded in a verdant courtyard overlooking the sea, elegant yet unpretentious. Do yourself a favor and make the trip.

No words can describe the experience. Honestly this place is a food&wine cultural institute. We dine two times and everything was beyond expectations. The wine list is a real kindergarden for winelovers. The food is super fresh, perfectly executed with a modern Catalan hue. Cant wait to be back! Carlos, Agathe, Roger We love you! Keep it up!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Villa Mas in Girona, and it was a bit of a mixed experience. The highlight of my meal was definitely the tomato salad and tartare—both were absolutely fantastic. The freshness of the ingredients really stood out, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. I had high expectations for the paella, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. While it was good, it didn’t have the depth of flavor or the richness I was hoping for, especially compared to some of the other dishes. On a positive note, the sangria was amazing! It had the perfect balance of sweetness and freshness, making it incredibly refreshing and the ideal drink to accompany the meal. Overall, while the paella was a letdown, the other dishes, especially the salad and tartare, made up for it. I’d definitely return for those, as well as the delicious sangria!

Amazing food, great service and a very extensive wine list focusing on Spanish and French regions. Crema Catalana is a must!

One of my all time favorite places! The food and wine are amazing, and the views and atmosphere are unbeatable, especially when it’s not summer and less crowded.

One of the best restaurants in the area. Great tomato salad, excellent selection of fresh fish. Service is warm and friendly even when the restaurant is full. Wine selection is outstanding!

They don't give you the real prices, so the paella is 32 eur for two people in the menu, but at the end you find out is 32 per each person, they should put that on the menu, also food is not any good for that range of prices

Great lunch menus in the summer - not cheap but always nice. Professional and friendly service, great ambience right on St Pol beach with open terrace seating. Most of all the food is always excellent and never disappoints - much better than anything in the neighbourhood! A bit posh but not too pretentious.
